I am a bit confused now, i got the impression that Bluetooth did not work at all with the converted p900's? I use it for programs such as Bemused, for file transferring between PC and with other mobile phones, if these functions survive the conversion, i will get my phone converted in a flash. |

like i said before we did 3 phones after doing the first we sent some files from an original phone to the updated one .after the second one we sent them back no probs.the last original had no problems seeing the updated ones and vice versa.i dont have a bluetooth pc in the house so cant say on that front yet will try soon

nice... if phone2phone works, i am almost halfway satisfied. But bemused is definately a must for me, so the phone-pc connection is vital. |

If the bluetooth issue is fixed , i might want to ask someone to flash it for me . (cause i don't have a dongle cable which is required i suppose)There's someone in Belgium doing the flash on P900 ? |

It has been mentioned that after the update I can then use a backup from my P900 configuration to the P910a, is this a wise thing to do, I only have my P900 a short time and I guess spending an hour or so setting up my email accounts and GPRS connections plus re-intalling the few programs i had installed would be better than doing the restore from my P900 config, I also have my contacts in outlook so they are easily transfered.
Is the PC suite 3 fully functional after doing the update ?
When I format the C: drive on the phone as advised here, does this effect any of the default applications or is the c: drive empty after reset. ?
Are the office applications available after the the P900 - P910a upgrade, are they part of the firmware ?
Sorry if this has already been covered, it's a long thread.
Thanks in advance |

@all i have done some more bluetooth testing and it seems to be like this. The p910a phone can see all other phones via BT for file transfer BUT only about half of them can see the p910a.
@gharknes1
yes the pc suite 3 is fully fuctionl but i dont have a BT pc so i can check if it syncs that way but all works fine through IR and cable
formating the c: drive doesnt touch the pre installed software on the firmware . after formating you will have about 13MB of space on the c: drive
yes all office apps are on the FW (Quicksheet , quickword , pdf+) thay also have a new web browser that looks like opera it does the full screen stretch bit.HTML email is also supported know

thanks for the reply, I haven't used BT yet and don't see when I will, i like the benefits of the S/W upgrade and after owning the phone for only a couple of weeks discovered that I was going to have to carry a load of expensive duo cards around with me to support my need for mp3, now that seems like a distant memory, I am currently getting Handymobilez (stuart) to do the upgrade in the UK and is currently on its way back to me, I have already order a 512meg duo card from ebay for £49, i think I will be more than happy with this and will address the BT issue when I need to, perhaps when my contract is up for renewal I will go for a P910 or maybe a newer model will be available by then, so far the P9XX has been a very nice experience and where i thought the smallest phone (Nok 8850) was best I don't see the larger body of P9XX filling my pocket to any greater degree. I now have an MP3 player, camera, video rec, email handler, web browser, games machine, organiser etc etc in one small very effective package. |

Hehe, it was just a pun... meaning i will get it done quickly, as well as a reference to the flashing process itself. Nevermind.
