Ok, I acctually tried to search and even found what I was looking for.
But theres still problem though..
When I try to use Phonebook and Text Message Manager (ver 2.0.161) from package 2. Nothing still wont happen!
I can read my adresses from SIMcard, but not from the phones memory.
I can send SMS, but not retrieve or found SMS in my phone. I think I can find SMS from my SIM, but Ericsson R380s donīt store SMS on the SIMcard.
Should I use another package? |

@float
My first email to you was on April 13, you just replied on April 15 and from that date you, I mean "yourself", have saved thousands of sms messages from trash with the wonderful FMA.
We have written each other about ten mails and after that, the discussion was tranferred in the great 3669 topic of this great forum. I'm proud to have received mails and help from you, and i shure will pay some money (how many is another great question...) for that great -every day using- FMA.
Now you have helped us very much, can we do something for you?
Can we help to delvelop more this lovely baby?
Can we repay yourself for your work?
It's not exactly the same thing.
For this people.
For this thread.
But do your choice freely. Sure, I'm with you.
Thank you very much.
Efyou.

MobileAgent dials, AND let's a bluetooth headset take over the call?
Much earlier in this thread, it was said that this isnt possible. However, I've bumped into a few different programs which actually do this very things, so I started to try and figure out exactly how...
Here's what one of those programs is sending to the t68i (to dial a bogus number, of course):
(anything following a "//" is a comment by me..)
ATV1
ATH0
AT+CLCK="CS",0 // turns off keylock
AT+CKPD="E",0,0 // "no" key - wakes the phone up
// CKPD does keypad presses..
AT+CKPD="0",15,1 // simulates the "+" sign
AT+CKPD="19876543210",1,1 // the rest of the number
// now, as soon as you get the "OK" from that last command, disconnect the port (which will close any BT port as well.)
Observations: The "1,1" after the phone number is needed. The only real effect it has is to make the phone take a bit longer to actually dial (by holding each key for .1 seconds, and waiting .1 seconds after each keypress.) However, that means that the phone will still be dialing the number when the app drops the port... which suddenly frees the phones bluetooth to open the headset port. I've tried doing this without as much of a delay, but the results weren't consistant, and sometimes the phone wouldn't try to activate the headset. Also note that if your dialing a phone number with less digits, it would be a good idea to use longer delays. It appears that a total of 2 seconds for the entire dial string is enough. (So, if your dialing only 1 digit, use "1,20".)
Also, in order for this to work, the phone has to be set up to always use the handsfree (menu->connect->bluetooth->options->handsfreesound->in handsfree.) However, I assume that people who'd want this ability would generally have this option set anyway.
Because the phone can't handle multiple BT connections at once, MobileAgent wouldn't be able to reconnect to the phone until both the call was terminated (or transferred to 'in phone'), and the BT connection with the headset closed.
I hope this helps!
Take care
Gary

OK!! First of all i have to say that it seems to be a great sw!!!
1. The only problem that i got (for the moment) is that i can't see my phonebook entries..
Meaning that greek character set is not supported...!!!!!
Any ideas??? is your program responsible for that or am i doing something wrong??
2. Something more...
I tried to translate in a small excel sheet the SMS text by taking the ud using at commands from hyper terminal...
It was succesfull but only for english sms.
I can't translate greek sms.. do you have any idea???
I'm taking the english character using function CODE(asscii code).
Why it doesn't work with greek characters??
3. While im using your scripts i'm taking the message
[429] Microsoft VBScript runtime error:

@henryj
I'm afraid not
The script is meant for use on floAt's Mobile Agent which is a Win32 program. |

Mobile Agent is really great! I use it every day.
But I'm looking for a PC software that could emulate a bluetooth headset.
I have a 3com Bluetooth PC-card and a T39. If I could install a pice of software that would emulate a bluetooth headset I could use the built in speakers and mic to do phonecalls. Or I could use a headset. That would be really cool, I wouldn't even have to take the phone out of my pocket. And if I was listening to music on my PC the software could mute winamp when there's an incoming call.
Has anyone heard about anything like that?

I got FMA to work with a D-Link DBT-120 USB bluetooth adapter and Windows 2000 Professional (Mac/PC). No hassles. I couldn't get the PC control stuff to work, but I haven't tried very hard.
Hey float...you know Apple is able to sync/edit the non-SIM address book in iSync. Maybe you should look at how they're doing it? I'd love to be able to edit it from my PC. I think it's they're using, SyncML...the options in iSync are to delete all address book entries and sync, or sync the address book without deleting. It actually works! |

Float!
This program is the best... took me a while to realize that the baudrate for a cable connection has to be 9600 but after this it really was amazing..... i guess the feature i really use it for is SMS back up since my T300 is kinda limited on the functions, but great stuff man....
Keep the great stuff coming! |

I hacve just downloaded mobile agent and everything works fine initially.
I have a t68i with software version R2B025.
When I download the scripts the error "[429] Microsoft VBScript runtime error:
ActiveX component can't create object: 'floAtMediaCtrl.VolumeCtrl' at line:31, char:2
near:" appers on the screen. I use a serial cable to connect, but none of the accessories like winamp, volume etc in script fma foe example work. I have also tried script 20020719 and the same happens.
Should the scripts not work on my T68i?
Your help would be grateful.................. |
