hi guys,

does anyone know how to set up your phone as a gprs modem for sun cellular to be used with a palm m515?

i've been trying to use my phone as a modem for my palm for almost 3 days now pero wala talaga.

im just wondering, does sun issue subcribers usernames/passwords before they can use their account for internet surfing?

a little help will be greatly appreciated.

Maraming salamat talaga!

Pansin ko yung IP Address ay gamit ng BTINTERNET, O2 at GENIE. =)

Galing!

Nakakapag-internet na ako, WAP at e-mail pa using my POP3 account.

Hanep!

Thanks again!

may nakakaalam ba sa inyo how sun computes your bill?

in my statement of acct. kase, btw, my plan is 1000 Pioneer I-text,
there is a summation of the ff:

MSF 909.09
one time charges/debit adjustments 909.09
usage charges 1,131.91
->(breakdown: sms total is 530.25, voice: 601.68)

then they deducted their so called free sms and free voice 1,123.73
w/c gives me a subtotal of 1,826.36 + VAT 181.82 + OCT 0.82

all in all 2,009 but since i have 1000 balance, my amount due is 1009.00

QUESTIONS: where have my 700 free text msgs gone? they showed me their computation for my free text is 522.05, san galing to? di ba dapat my total messages sent (530.25) should be deducted from 700 free sms? plus may kinompyut din silang free voice (free airtime worth) of 601.68, san din galing to? sabi kase nila 1000 is consumable!!! that wud mean if i'd sent exactly 700 sms's in a month, i shud have 1000 to consume for voice calls or data or succeeding sms's. guys do u get it? bat ganto ang charging nila? very different from what they advertise. i know 1009 is just a minimal amount, but what if in my next billing there'd be hidden charges or overcharging because of such way of computing our bill? besides, why'd they sum up my MSF and usage charges? shouldn't they just deduct my usage charges to their SO CALLED 1000 worth consumable??? and forget about those alien free air time worth? but considering my 700 free sms?

do u experience the same thing? how did u deal with this? tnx.

@mekeni2000

u said that ur billing changed from time to time, from 5t to 8t to 3t then u received ur billing statement.... may i know how much was ur real bill then?
________________
(i wont disclose some details) kase, when i asked them how much was my running bill, sabi nila it was 2000+ in less than 2 weeks, eh ako naman i know my usage, besides, meron credit limits ang mga plans nila as stated sa booklet nila diba? before, my plan is pioneer-i-text 1000Php, ngayon sa dad ko na yon, ang plan ko now is i-text 600Php, accdg. to them, the default credit limit for plan 600 is 750, (accdg. to the booklet they give away with ur sim upon approval of application: "when you exceed your credit limit, your line will be temporarily disconnected"::meaning outgoing calls/txt/data will be blocked) now... how the hell will i consume 2t+ when my credit limit is just 750, why can i still make calls and send messages and use wap??? btw, i'm just a student..

@ice_jepree

here's what u shud do:
in the services menu, go to service settings
edit active service settings
then in the ip address field input...

I.P. address: try the most common public gateway
>O2 - 193.113.200.195
others (tested 100% working)
>194.129.183.45 / 212.185.045.150 / 209.212.118.136 / 202.056.231.021 / 194.154.192.098 / 192.036.140.080 / 202.075.133.049 / 148.122.161.115 / 194.048.124.071

then
Access point name : minternet
leave all other settings unchaged

*let me know if u've made it work
