My example was like ODM phone.
No software from any of both.
Just logo.
Samsung would still sell more.
A51 has good things like 5G, UFS, 4K front camera.
But it was $500 phones with plastic back, no stereo, no IP rating, exynos CPU and useless macro/depth cameras.
Rumors say they plan to give IP67 to A52/A72.
I bet it is gonna come at expense of jack and charger in the box. |

I don't have a source on this but I think everything below A50 series is ODM for Samsung. |

Considering sony is gonna trim bezels a bit, they should add maybe 0.1 or 0.2 to screen.
At least for 1 and 5.

Sounds plausible to me considering the huge difference in quality between the note/S series compared to the likes of lower A series. My note 8 currently has survived more falls than say two A series phones from my family.
But these may just be because of quality materials. Nevertheless, the high-end Samsung phones definitely has different treatment/manufacturing process than its lower counterparts much the same as other brands.  |

The A series used to have glass (GG5) and IP rating.
Now plastic and GG3.

Some A series phones have metal frames. I'd prefer metal frame and plastic back over plastic frame and glass back. That combo doesn't even make sense. Honestly I'd rather have both the frame and the back plastic. If you are gonna put glass on the back, you should use metal for the frame. Even the looks of 10ii is weird with matte frame and shiny back. At least match textures or something. It looks like some third party repair guy replaced the real frame with a 3d printed one.
Samsung was quick to respond to xiaomis and realmes out there. They knew gg5 didn't mean anything for the midrange buyer. And they are also quick to respond to even Sony. With ip ratings coming for this year's devices. |

For cheap phones like M series and basic devices of A , I would understand.
Same way I would not expect L series with glass and IP rating.
But for $500 device. You cant have GG3 and plastic.

Even on XZP it wasn't acceptable. So for $500 gg3 is not OK bu for XZP's whatever price plastic frame was OK?
Or for 10ii SD665 4GB ram, emmc and 1 OS update is acceptable? If Sony wants to charge as much with such hardware it should have better externals. At least metal gives a sturdy vibe, glass is glass, it breaks. Why should anyone care or want a glass back when the sides are already plastic. XZP at least looked the part. Anyway. Where the leaksters at? If they don't show up soon, I think we might not see the new devices even in April. |

Moto G series no longer earn 2 updates.
They sell 10x more than Sony at least.
Be sure that most do not care about updates.
Fujitsu gonna use 4K screen too. 😱

You can find info of 4K or 5K screen, 12 or 48 or 50MP, 4000 or 4500 or 5000mAh, 8 or 12GB.

Judging from the renders of the upcoming device, I am guessing Sony will not be using the imx800 (device looks to thin to house a large sensor)? Makes sense, sell the sensor to companies that have more unit sales.

Imx800 is RYYB.
I am not convinced it has 1".
Where would huawei find space for it.
It is 59% larger than imx700y.
