Dacha, mine cleared Cincy custom as well. I should have it in my hands 8am Monday morning.

Moogoo, I echo everything you said about the screen protector. I hope mine also covers the entire screen. I have a feeling it probably won't because of the curved screen around the edges. Hopefully it won't take too long for a well known brand to make a correct fit for the XZ.

I will update on Monday as well.

There is already a full coverage screen protector listed on Amazon but there is no blue option. Only black and white.

I saw that dacha. I looked up reviews for its protectors for other phones and they aren't very good. Makes me very skeptical. Plus I've never heard of the brand. And unfortunately you get what you pay for with screen protectors usually..

I think I will try for roxfit or zagg

EDIT: omg... check out this review. THAT IS HORRENDOUS. id on't even want to put it on my XZ cause it's so hideous...

it's getting returned .. IMMEDIATELY.

sigh...Gcolor has a clear one but it's not available on prime.. sucks. standard delivery is expected end of october into november. at that rate, might as well wait for one of the major brands..

now what am i gonna do to keep my screen protected til then...

Here's my pros and cons for the 1st 10 days of my Xperia XZ

PRO's

. Excellent build quality and in hand feel
. Best display ever on a Sony smartphone
. Performance is silky smooth and lag free
. Great battery life
. Camera is great on both front and back
. Audio quality is best ever from a Sony smartphone
. Waterproofing is always a plus
. Fingerprint scanner is fast and most accurate yet
. Sony's UI is the best on Android by far
. DOESN'T BURST INTO FLAMES

CON's

. Impossible to keep from fingerprint smudges
. Front facing speakers aren't as good as the X
. Music is bass heavy but easy to adjust
. Need type C cables to replace all my others
. Takes a while to change with a standard wall plug

As you can see the pros out way the cons by a fair amount and most of the cons are easily fixed with a case to keep away finger smudges and Type C is something the was always going to happen anyway and a quick charger isn't that expensive and is even bundled in with phones in some countries.

@moogoo that's the ugliest shit I've ever seen. The cut is not even close. That explains why you felt it was too narrow. You may have to use it for a couple weeks just to have something in play, ya know?
I will update you on mine tomorrow. Everything seems to 3 weeks out on other brands, I agree about you waiting for zagg and roxfit.

@xperiajunkie thanks for that info. Can you tell me what color is the forest blue front? (I think that's color you have) some photos have it close to black, others have it lighter. Is it forest blue like the housing. Just want to know what it looks like in person.

^ It's the same colour all over the phone, the front does look a bit different is certain light due to the gloss of the glass panel. Most people comment on the colour shifting when they first see it which to me is great as it gives the phone a unique look.

@xperiajunkie - thanks for the quick review. sounds great. the charging problem i already addressed with some qc3.0 chargers . fingerprint smudges are something i live with though i don't like it. haven't been able to solve that problem for as long as i've had phones. speakers seem a bit disappointing but definitely not a deal breaker. sony phones have always had lower volume than anything else in my experience. but i'm not the type who blasts music from my phone to fuel a party and i'm also not the type to use speakerphone unless i am extremely desperate. great review though! i can't wait to get mine tomorrow.

@icrkz - you're telling me! That is so ugly. i already printed the return labels for the damn thing. I just have to drop it off. but like you said, anything decent is 3 weeks away at least. not entirely sure what to do. i might just leave the original plastic film on it hahaha. it's JUST as ugly but at least it's full coverage? sigh.. new phone problems..

btw my phone has not moved from NYC after clearing customs and being processed. NYC is about 4.5 hrs away.. so i guess they will drive it down, sort it and deliver it by 8pm all tomorrow? hope so. I can't wait any longer!

Tell you guys a gimmick I found . Run your finger at the back of your xz . Now charge your phone and run your finger at the back of your phone again . You should feel some slight vibration.

Just goes to show numbers mean nothing if the hardware isn't fully optimised, I think Sony and Apple are the King's of optimisation in the smartphone world.

@tai020381 my phone doesn't vibrate once on charge, just tested to make sure.

EDIT - I've just updated my pros and cons list, check out the additional pro.

You didn't hear that Samsung just introduced new features for the Note 7. Quick flame 1.0 and recall 2.0

Nothing . Just something which I discovered . I just happened to feel it while playing and charging my phone . You just use your fingertip and glide around the back of the phone .
