^ exactly my thoughts but the games SHOULD BE exclusive only to SE handsets. so that they'll have the upperhand. |

Sony has been catering for Apple products for ages now, just look at their range of iPod docks etc.
Obviously they'd want to cater for a many gamers a possible, hence the PS app. No doubt the PS Phone will be integrated too, however, gamers will appreciate the app regardless of which platform they play games on.

If it were only exclusive to SE phones, then I think that there'd be hard to entice developers to put time and money into something that will only have exposure to a tiny fraction (less than 1%) of the entire market. Making it availabile to a wider market would make sense from a quality of software/games point of view, which should be the priority with PSP games on phones.

Actually i feel that sticking to just Sony Ericsson or the PSPhone would be a better idea as the developers would know exactly what hardware platform to develop for and therefore truly optimize the games for it...much better quality games!
As long as market it right...i think a lot of gamers would buy this phone or range of phones ...the same market that the game developers would want to target! |

yh i think that does make sense. games would come out faster and there would be little compatibility issues. |

Honestly, i'd be very weary of buying the psphone. Ive been gaming for twenty years and own a ps3...after psp go, i really dont think id buy the psphone. I know they are different devices for different segments but the brand is the same. I wouldnt buy any sony mobile atm. I hope things will change in the next year or so for the company as a whole. Id love to return to se permanently. When se got it right, they were awesome. Fingers crossed. |

i'd only be buying it for the hardware controls tbh. i'd hack the shit outta it and run custom roms anyway, so not gonna rely on pushing out updates. then its all about your emulators snes, nes, genesis, PSX. lol im not even too excited about the new PSPhone games lol |

i personally am more looking forward for a phone with hardware keyboard...x10 mini pro or vivaz pro successor...i really wish we would hear some more info about them soon! |

Well today I bought LG E900 Windows Phone 7 device.
If SE will not join this bandwagon I will be forced to leave.
I would love them to do it...
Boy this OS is better than anything else. Especially in UI terms.
Android feels so bad next to it.....
