A new X8 firmware revision is going under aproval on PTCRB: 2.0.1.A.0.47
but it was certified for all other xperia range as well .i am still wondering why SE haven't released 2.1 for x8 till now,i am sure it's ready and didn't need much testing in the first place as it was already implemented in the x10 mini with nearly identical specs to x8. |

A very wierd thing happened to my X8 yesterday. I installed a widget called batterylife as I wanted a widget that tells me how much juice I hai left. My battery was at 56% before I retired for the night. When I got up in the morning, my phone was off and it was hot..not warm..Hot! I removed the battery and it was very hot. I let it cool and then charged the phone and switched it on.
I figured it was the batterylife app that created problems and uninstalled it. I had heard lots of positive stuff about that app so I was a bit surprised though.

Karun, do you have a Task Manager?
What other apps do you have installed?
Usually the phone only gets that hot when using Wifi and Internet non-stop.

Nope..I don't have a task manager. The problem was with the batterylife widget and it's working perfectly after uninstalling it.

I hope this bit of info is true although it seems a bit too soon to be true:-P I hope they launch it by the 2nd week of Dec atleast..
btw..a guy from O2, known as FCW on xda developers has said on the x8 2.1 discussion thread that the update will roll out in 2 weeks..
He also confirmed that we won't get 2.2 ( I certainly hope we do )
