Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to have to adjust, I've realized that since first getting the phone which made me miss my W902, but then you don't have to adjust the EV all the time, just when there's high contrast areas. Now with the current cam ver 1.7, adjusting the settings is down to a minimum and there's a workaround where you can just point at a brighter spot, and focus, and point back to where you would want to shoot- and the EV will be reduced automatically without having to tweak anything (of course the experience would be much better if there's touch focus). You just need some time before you understand your phone enough to take excellent shots with it as you can see from the improvements we've made since the beginning of this thread You might wanna post your photos here so that we can see rather than hear about the problems, it's more effective to solve that way. But seriously, if the last few photos are such a disappointment then I guess there no hope for W995

Cool photos, now I have my w995 and it takes terrible shots, especially of buildings and landscapes. I get the purple fringing always and its so annoying, my old w810i was an awesome piece of work. Does the new software update sort out the camera issues?

I had a C901 that was irreparable after owning it for a month. Sent it in to SE and they said since they couldn't fix it, they would send me a comparable phone. So here I am with a W995. I like it a lot so far. Hopefully it will last longer than a month!
