Ha you give that phone arena review to Japanese people and they will laugh. I think they have one or two devices which do a similar thing that are not SE but you get my point. This is something that you would see in Japan and imo the west is too spoiled to actually accept and appreciate this phone so it should have sticked for Japan instead. I myself find it a very nice concept and its something that I really love.

I hope this phone will be something like an updated version of the KF700 (like said by phonearena guy's) because this phone looks in an early state (Phonearena again) and is looks very amazing (more than my 995) so if se could just put the long awaited A3(d?) on this phone I (and many others ) will defenitly spend my money on it

I honestly can't remember the last time I entered the camera app on any of my phones through the menu, I doubt most people do either... I just press n hold the cam button, which is much faster anyway. So I don't get the big deal about this, I guess it would've been better if Aino had a shutter...

Actually, the Aino doesn't need the user to go to the menu for camera use, at all. Touch the icon in the multimedia menu and one is good to go. One of the youtube videos showed this. I think it was the CNET one. Not sure.

It'd be good for SE to remove the camera and the media icons from the main menu so that people don't get confused and pass incorrect verdicts.

They will laugh because of the crippled touchscreen this thing has. I don't recall them having crippled touchscreens, but they do have phones with the same design but with the touchscreen working all the time.

You only see it as crippled because you're used to something else. Phones with only "semi-touch" like this one do exist in Japan.
What I am wondering is if anyone would complain so much if it didn't have a touch-screen at all?

No without touch at all they would not bother. There would be oh's and ah's for the design, D-pad maybe. But moving the D-pad to the front make it just another slider. I see the limited touch as an extra gimmick. Get Satio if you want full touch.

I have no idea but there would be complaints about the big ass screen. And of course they exist I know what I am talking about.

Its not a gimmick but a way to make your phone a dual thing. Touch for media buttons for phones. And they would have if they wanted to bring the amazing awesomeness of SE in Japan to the world which I love for them at least trying to do so. I dunno it will probably fail but if people knew that this kinda technology is in Japan then they would at least think in a different perspective then oh limited touch whatever that sucks.

It's a good thing atleast some of us focus on the good things, and not the bad things! And I fully agree with getting Satio if one is that bothered by the media-touch.

If there weren't people like us actually thinking SE had something going on and buying there products then they might have been in a hole. But nah I will never give up on them. You might others might but me never.

There is just something in that attracts me. Easy to use and mod. Decent build quality. (I like to drop things every now and then) and good design. For Aino its that big screen and the blue ribbon.

I'm pretty sure A LOT of people would actually like this phone if SE would actually make the phone full touch. I'm pretty sure there are many people would love using the phone closed for basic things. They should've made it more like the UltraTouch, then it would really get me to like the phone. It just looks like SE did a half-assed job with the touchscreen on this phone, everything else is great, with the inclusion of the desk stand and the BT, but the lack of touchscreen support for the rest of the phone, it kills it for me. This would actually be a great dumbphone if touch was implemented throughout the phone and having a virtual QWERTY would make it a lot more appealing.
