like you know you can only show pictures in 800 x 600 here on Esato forum....
2.
i can show you many many pictures in full size...most of them still looks good.
1) Yes, but you can post full res photo's in Esatos Mobile Phone Photo Gallery right here: http://www.esato.com/phonephotos . Yes that's right FULL size photo's and you know it's there because you've used it. And you can sort by make and model of camera if you want to look at photos from a particluar phone. So, why then don't you post full res shots there? Why have you only posted shrunken images there as well when you could have posted full size images? They're not auto resized in the gallery so don't use that excuse. Please tell us all why you wont post full res photos there? The mind boggles - you have the perfect opportunity to post your supberb photos right there but you haven't taken up the opportunity even though you know it's there.
2) Well show us. You keep saying you will and you don't. I don't believe a word of what you a saying.

wins ???????
after have seen this bad indoor pictures, flash pictures & panorama pictures from N95.....i easily say that N95 is worse on everything except for the outdoor pictures in daylight.....(N95 take often better pictures daylight in default...but if you know how to do with k850....they are similiar even in daylight)
N95 have no good allround camera.........(if you cant admit that, after have seen all beatiful indoor, low light, flash pictures from k850...its realy sad)
Keep in mind N95 has been months and months on the market, but the newcomer K850 that has just been released couldnt even surpass it.

full resolution is not necessary, because all ppl will shrink their pictures for normal use.

Plank - I know you really do care what I think . Thank you for posting full size samples. It is genuinely appreciated and to show my respect for that I will keep my opinions of the quality of those photos to myself. Others can judge them as they please.
A new development - The K850 is finally on sale in Australia. So far only at Vodafone . So, I went in had a play with the K850 this morning. The guy in the store let me take a couple of photos and save them. I didn't have the time to take any more shots as it was busy. I also took the same photo's with my K800 for comparison. Both were nothing more than a quick point and shoot. I know what i think of the comparison shots. So, for anyone who is interested I have posted the full res shots from both here:
K850:
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=8112
K800
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=8111
K850:
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=8110
K800:
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=8109
So, I now have experience using both N95 and k850 and believe I have enough experience to make a fair judgement over which is best. I have to say (you'll be happy Plank) that the K850 is probably better. But this is nothing to pleased about. This only because the Nokia is let down by the loss of detail and over saturation of colours that comes with the heavy processing. Ultimately, I can't see any real reason for me to upgrade my K800 to a K850. There is no real improvement in quality in my eyes.

I think mongoose was rushed and didn't really have time to take some well posed pics...
Whatever, the camera in this phone is streets ahead of the K800/K810.
Nokia make very poor UI's compared to Sony, the cams are more or less the same quality. Varies depending on lighting and subject - like any other camera.
If you are worried about getting great pics, buy a camera not a phone - having a phone based 5MP cam is great, but never think its going to be better than a dedicated digicam.
I'm very impressed with the K850's camera, its there to take shots for me when I don't have my DSLR to hand and gives me results that are very acceptable. |

Comparing these 2 shots, I find the K800 much better than K850 at full size.
I just can't stand the noise of K850 picture. Like many comparison picts I have posted, K850 cannot pick up fine details like human face (it just a lump of noise). In indoor lighted environment, I am pretty convinced N95/K800 are better.

(i have both k800/k810 and many indoor pictures...and most of them have fairly bad quality)..
you must be the only person in the world who think k800 take better indoor pictures...
look at the indoor pictures in the k800 thread...then look at the indoor pictures in the k850 thread !!!!!!!!! what do you see ?????
this two k800 pictures (from the thread) proves what im talking about.....the sensor is to week for this kind of low light..

Hey guys, why is it when you see a bad example of K850 image you have to find something to blame? I did the most simple test I could think of - I took 2 quick point and shoot shots in the same manner and conditions - the K850 should have won hands down - it didn't. Most people will only want to point and shoot rather than muck around with settings. You can't start blaming sensors, flashes or anything - Both camers had the same conditions to deal with and the same photographer. You'll get no arguments from me that K750 takes pretty poor indoor shots. But the K800 usually fairs pretty well. My real life test has shown that the K800 has outdone the K850. Interestingly the K800 shots are crystal clear when reduced. So is the focused K850 shot. But at full res the story is much different:
K800
K850
K800
K850
