Can't speak for the loudspeaker but did u install any app whc could have caused the mess with the arrows. Very unlikely actually, but why would they suddenly disappear.
It's strange.

im sure i get a little pop.
with the messaging prob, what happens when you roll the jog dial and so highlight the different accounts?
If I highlight the section I'm on about then the arrows show. They don't when not highlighted yet I'm sure when I went into messaging before I never highlighted the bar. |

But he should get the 3 clicks only at startup when the phone has successfully connected to the operator.
He should not hear it while switching it off, unless P1 is different..

No no, not that! A distorted click, like interference, that defininitely isn't planned. I only get it when pressing the power button when the handset is on. |

Yes, the P1i does this even when you turn it off

If you mean the single click right after pressing the power button and which is similar to the clicks (a bit shorter maybe) that sounds while tapping the ts, this one is normal too.

The sound I am trying to describe is nothing like any of the normal noises such as the three network location clicks upon start-up or the touchscreen clicks (which I have disabled anyway) - this is a distinct distortion noise only heard on powering down the handset. It is a distortion noise through the speaker, let's get away from the notion that it is a click. |

Well, i dont get the problem. The sound goes away, right? I have a little "sound" when turning of the device, but you cant really call this a problem. I think I had this with my P990 to, not sure.

No such problem on my P990.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Have you transferred straight from your old phone? If so, maybe they have become corrupted. If you haven't already, try loading some fresh mp3s direct from your pc. Apart from that I'm stumped. |

Dont know if mentioned before - twice I had 'too little memory' when trying to send and receive emails in messaging. The app is not closed but the operation fails. Both times I was at around 40mb free ram. Anyone had this?
Best regards, PH

Yes I've had this, I noted it somewhere in this thread. Only switching the phone off and rebooting solved it. |
