I strictly doubt it may come with a flash player, as SE already said that if its not in the whitepaper, then its not actually there, this was a response to the huge wishlist the P990 owners had on wiki.

hi, i have the same problem that ahmed-sama and is not a bad flash because i have reflashed many times, no restore, no 3rd party apps, and most of the time is at night, i wake up and is freezed. i think the only solution is restart everytime i go to sleep and everytime i wake up, just takes a minute but i think is not fair for the money i paid. one question, phone is more stable with or without the flip? maybe that can help. thanks

I'm guessing your hardware version is R8A? You can check it on the P990 box, the line starts with DPY...Just trying to make a connection here. I'm on R9D23, WG2 and my hardware version is R7A and works fine |

Same for me. It happened once. But the phone didn't freeze but it restarted itself. And it wasn't midnight, but shortly before the wakeup alarm I had set was to go off. I heard the that light sound that comes when the phone is starting up. When I got up to check, the phone was waiting for the answer to the flight mode/phone on question.

It might not be on the white paper, but the advert does say we can surf ANY website. You, I and SE know very well that ain't true. They should really consider flash support if they wanna get away scott free |

R8A, WG 1...and I don't have that problem. Perhaps you should have the phone checked at a service center.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Yes, you must insert a space but I dont pause at all, just type as fast as I can and it works normaly.
You are right koto..
I have checked & noticed that if you use the numeric keypad for your messages a pause IS required after space, whereas it does autocap w/o pause if you use qwerty or the virtual keypad.
strange..

Any other way to know the hardware version? A friend's mom bought the phone for me in USA 'cause I live in Peru but she didn't send me the box, but I'll ask her anyway. In case that I have R8 hardware, what can I do to stop the freezing. Thanks

@Myth
Sorry Myth but I just tried writing a text using the keypad, vitual keyboard and the the qwerty keys and everytime I put a full stop w/o space there was no capitalisation but everytime I put a space w/o pause I got the capital letter.
All this was done with auto capitalization turned on.

@avw
The space after full stop is required in any case. Otherwise autocap won't work.

I have still R5 which has problem with Edit before call as following:
1. Only FO mode/ Calls has this feature.
2. Only new digits could be appended or deleted one digit at a time starting from the last digit. There is no cursor and there is no way to add/edit some digit at the beginning of phone number. That is, it is impossible to add an access code for IDD/DDD call or add country/area code before the existing called numbers.
3. If the phone number is deleted completely then the phone exits edit mode.
Could someone please check if R6 still has the same problem. Thanks.
Come on ...

I removed my flip so I only run FO mode... and there I cannot find any "edit before call" feature with R6... where do you have it in R5?
Many greetings

@Dominique:
To reach "Edit before call", open call history and scroll down to any number and then bring down the pull-down menu, select "Edit" and then "Edit before call".
@BBS:
Edit before call can be reached both in FC and FO modes. Still the same restrictions on how to edit though. You can't add/remove digits in the middle of a phone number. Also, deleting the last digit still exits edit mode.
