Thanks to selady for selling me a spare. All went smoothly and my phone has now been debranded from o2. Seems to run faster than previously so well pleased with it!!! |

Cool thread and thanks!!! Order the credits last night and just updated my CDA at my desk...
Didn't bother with the master reset etc, as I haven't got my phone charger with me, and USB charging doesn't charge quick enough to keep up with the power the phone uses.
Anyway, going to charge up tonight and get the firmware flashed.

NCK shows that the phone is Network Locked. Means you can't put another providers SIM into your phone.

Not at the moment, and don't try it either. The Network Unlock options are for the K800i type phones.

I tried to unbrand my SE M600i by following the procedure written on this thread.
But when I connect my phone in order to flash it with the kkclient, it fails. This is the error log:

My phone is branded by Orange.
I have typed in this number CDA162011/1 (as found on http://blog.artesea.co.uk/200[....]d-your-p990i-m600i-w950i.html, which is linked on kulankendi's main page)
Any ideas / suggestions ? Thank you very much for your support

xa4gva, try ensuring that PC Suite is completely shutdown, right click in the taskbar and select close. Also instead of holding down C, try the Back or Internet buttons.

Recieved my username and password for KK this morning,(paid for it on Friday Night).
Followed the instructions at the top of this thread, 1hour later my p990i have world generic 1 branding latest firmware.
Cant believe how easy this was, well done to KK, Area and spectre77.
The reason I debranded is that my p990i is fully unlocked to all networks however it was branded with the o2 firmware as a result I had no internet wizard, now I have everything.
