yes i know that. i meant even at full volume the sound is still lower than my k750i. so like i was expecting it to be atleast the same as my k750i as it is a 'walkman' phone

Hi, have the w950i one day now, I like it however....it's rather strange there is no shortcut to your contacts, you can create a shortcut to one contact but not to the contacts menu. *edit*
if you keep a number pressed the contacts will show up

actually you can when you go to common task instead of contacts at the replace menu.. does anyone have links to useable chinese language files? |

I just noticed something weird with my W950i. When i turn on transitions, when i move aroung the menu, theres a slight green hue on the entire screen, using the twilight theme btw.
saw a tip that when you open a video file, what would happen is that transitions would move better, mine doesnt, mine wouldn't do the transition effects at all once i have a video open on task manager.
anyone else had this experience? |

I have album art in every song, but the player don't want to show it in now playing screen, just in album browsing menu. Any ideas ?
The phone restarts, if i want to view the information of a video.
Are these can be a firmware problem, or i should send the phone to service ?

Meanwhile, I solved the strange "mp3 read failure". I found that this problem only occured in older files (maybe downloaded b4 the year 2000?). The reason for it? Still a mystery!
By editing the files in Adobe Audition, cutting a bit of the silence at the beginning or end of the track, it becomes a different file - recognizable by my w950i.
A time-comsuming and boring method, but solved the problem!

Actually, I think you'll find that's what's supposed to happen. Having the video player open (and paused) disables transitions, which makes the phone more responsive (or so people say). |

that not only happen with the w950. With my p990 is exactly the same. I supose if this happen with the video player oppen, than this a issue that SE can and should fix it with a firmware upgrade to make the phone more responsive all the time dont you agree? |

hello,
i was wondering if anybody could/would answer my queries as i would like to have this nearly excellent phone operate as intend.
1. when i set an alarm, it doesn't inform you by keeping the alarm checked nor does the alarm bell turn gold - Does anybody else experience this?
2. can anybody "move to" sent txt messages as i can "move to" inbox sms to desired folder - feature doesn't exist, but hope a work around exists!!
3. When you back up, what does the "Settings" option actually back-up as not seen anything in orange or SE user guide.

hi guys.
i'm also a proud owner of one of these babys but still got a thing i would like to change:
how can you animate the wallpapers? they are animated gifs but are not animated when i put them as wallpapers. nothing moves!
when i select them as screensaver they are animated. i would love to have a living background.
the other thing is animated gifs as contact-pics. they are not animated and have an ugly white background when the background is supposed to be colorless.
is it possible to "activate" them in some way?

You can't animate the wallpapers unfortunately. |

The w950 already has many of the features the m600 and p990 are only getting now. eg the usb fast file transfer thing.
so give it a month or two. |
