K750i SEUS R1N035 update problems/potential solutions |

I cant update my k750i it stops at 37% then jumps to 40% and then error. Its the same when im run the recovery. SO now Im stuck with a half working phone. The camera is corrup bur the rest seems to work.
Software:
R1N035

Camera : 4.4 *should be 4.5*

i was trying to update my f'd up k750 recognises as w800 but i got stuck at the screen where it says Welcome to the Sony Ericsson Update Service. it'll just hang there forever, the jaya based seus wont even load. any idea?
to make it simple, im stuck after i've checked 6 checkboxes and click next.

I had the exact same problem as you. I found this on another site and it worked for me. Make sure you back up your data before doing a master reset! Also, after I updated my software on my phone, my phone lock code reverted back to the default '0000'.

Master Reset:
- Menu -> Settings -> Master Reset -> Reset All
- Enter code 0000

- When it restarts, just turn it off.
Updating:
- Go to SE update site.
- Did the "Recovery Mode"-update
- It went till 39%, then it freezes for like a minute and went to 42%
- Then runs smoothly to around 60% and jumps to 100% and says it was 'Update Complete'.
- Remove battery and put it back
- Turn the phone on
- Do another Master Reset to get all languages back
Now the phone is working again with R1N and camera 4.5

for those who experience problems...please do master reset (default code:0000). BACKUP FIRST!!
It works for me when I have the problem.

Do a settings ONLY master reset not a full master reset...
There is no reason why anyone should have to do a FULL master reset....

Then u got 2 options...
Reset settings
Reset all
Choose Reset settings...

thanks a bunch... i was very afraid to touch that master reset.. now that i know there are 2 options, i feel more courageous to perform that f/w update!... |

I tried to update ky K750i FW using SEUS. After following the steps the message says the the FW is already up to date, but it is a R1L002. Why it does not update to R1N035 ??

Just got my phone back from SE, waited about 7 days. Had to send it in after having it die and not want to turn back on while attempting to update to RN1005...They sent the phone back very well packed and without one single tiny scratch, very impressed. They also updated my firmware to R1N005 as I requested in my note. They wrote that they could not duplicate the problem I incountered. Oh well..the update service is bs, but sending it in to the service center worked out very well, impressed with SE in that department. |

yep. i cant use the auto detect mode because the phone is dead. so what ive been using since is the recovery mode. |

Tried update on www.sonyericsson.com and still failed. Getting communiction error. Does anyone have a solution or come across the same problem? |
