WELL,something that has got to to do with the naming of se future android smartphones....Dont u think that they should stop using the x-series for both high-end and mid-end???I mean there is a huge difference between xperia x8/xperia x10mini and xperia x10,both in hardware and software...So i believe that sony ericsson should invent another naming scheme for its mid-end solutions,something like xperia s-series,etc etc..Sony has being doing the same thing for its laptops,walkmans and bravias! |

Having listened through all the latest podcast from Eldar where he tells exactly how he has been presented with the SE lineup for H1 2011, I am convinced that Anzu with the specs we know from the preview is the SE flagship at least for the H1 2011. SE Russia, who has shown it to him, actually and honestly believes it is really great phone with even greater prospects for the future, because it has nice screen as well as implemented equalizer and multi touch.

I'd prefer "reviving" the older series such as the G one. The X8 could fit better in it IMO - a mid-low range touchscreen smartphone with wi-fi. The X series should only be for higher-end phones, like the X10 and Anzu.

This is what i currently understand to be SE's plan for Q1 and Q2 in 2011
Akane -> ?
Anzu -> X10 Update
Hallon -> Vivaz successor (Branded Walkman ?)
Iyokan ->Guess this is the name, but X10 mini pro upgrade (Branded Walkman ?)
Lychee ->Guess this is the name, but X10 mini upgrade (Branded Walkman ?)
Mango ->Guess this is the name, but Vivaz pro upgrade (Branded Walkman ?)
Mogami -> ?
Monika -> ?
Smultron -> ?
Zeus_256 -> PSP Phone
Y10 Zeus -> PSP Phone
SE wont have a "flagship" phone coming out in Q1 and Q2, just the Anzu which will be an updated X10 |

Some of you are acting like children who dont want to realize the facts. Eldar might have been wrong at times but for years now he correctly described the developement of Sony///. Avmazfan is like Santa Claus who makes promises about christmas presents if all behaved well but actually doesnt have anything to back him up
You desperately want to believe, thatīs the problem but looking back at the last years thereīs nothing to believe, nothing to hope for.
A dying company where one wrong decision leads to another wrong decision. Even the so hoped for change with a new CEO hasnīt turned out to be good. Now they have nothing to announce and when they eventually do (according to Rog in January), itīs going to be gadgets that are one year behind their competitors!!!
Really sad but even sadder is the desperation of the fans here! That should make SOny/// realize what a great fan base they are losing!!
If you just think for a second , all of this doesn't make any sense , all phone manufactures should have at least 1 flagship phone in the year ,, if doesn't have enough R&D , how did they make x10 ?? i think x10 was first smartphone announced with 1Ghz processor and 4 inch screen and all of this , then Desire , SGS .. and all I know that did pretty good in 2010 .. they actually started making money ..
Maybe doesn't want anything to be leaked about their phone before the official announcement , in that case , showing Eldar the phone will be their biggest mistake , is seeking for money not for Eldar Satisfaction .. and all I know that is making money this year , so how their R&D had decreased ? its obvious that is not Committed to show Eldar every single detail ..
I don't say that Eldar is wrong , he told us everything he knows , I just say doesn't have to tell him everything ..

Also Maximus on semcblog has described Anzu as "the next Sony Ericsson flagship in Xperia series"
Sony Ericsson Anzu a X10′s successor

The Anzu is just an update for the X10, (so it will be the flasgship phone (for a while).
But I believe it will be out in Q1 (SE mustnt be ready with dual core processors yet) and in Q3/Q4 there will be a proper flagship phone for SE which will be a proper Upgrade of the X12. |

The apps from SE that should be included on the final X12 look promising, especially Qriocity. If it has good enough support from Sony (good films) and if the prices are competitive then I see big future for it, especially with the improved X12 screen. |

@cableguy
I agree with you and have been saying the same thing, ie, the Anzu is just the X10 enhanced and not 2011 SE flagship. That I feel is still to come.
By the way, the X10 wasn't the first to use the snapdragon processor but the Toshiba TG something was.
I won't believe Eldar as he has proven time and again how unreliable he is. That, however, doesn't mean I don't have eyes to see where SE is going wrong. At the moment they are making profits which is the first step in their progress to success, market share will eventually follow when their products are good quality and competitive which in turn means more people will buy them.

On one of Eldars pictures you can se: HARDWARE: "Sony Ericsson Mogami".
Shouldnīt it say "Anzu"?? Or is Anzu and Mogami the same device?? Iīm confused... |

Ehh! Vivaz still going to have next update?
Did already dumped Symbian why still have update?
I shouldn't care for now, can't stand what they did with SATIO unlike X10 that get all the way goods.
True different story, really disappointed for me!
p.s. I hope it will recovery sometime or as soon as I ditch my SATIO away!

@HxH Read carefully, they look similar to Vivaz/Vivaz Pro but run on Android.
