so just a question:
On our main c905 page it says the c905 has FM radio.
I understand that.
Origanally I remeber it said on the sony ericsson site it had FM radio.
I understand that.
But now on the sony ericsson site now it doesn't mention FM radio.
That's just something I'll never understand.

(Parody of an ad against drunk driving we had here in NZ a while ago)

Anyway my question is: What happened to FM radio? Is it still there in the retail version?? Can anyone confirm this??

About the software, I understand that it's a revamped version of A200 and not A300, right?

We won't be seeing A300 soon, AFAIK.

OK you guys have made me sick to my stomach with talk about C905 vs ______ fill the blank in with some other manufactures SMART PHONE with a decent sensor.

Stop comparing apples to oranges for the last time please!!!!!

Every year SE's feature phone is placed in a competition that it shouldn't be in (witch is saying a lot for a so called dumb phone) and by who? the people that should really know better. I'm done venting.

Now can we all just stay on topic

thanks

It's because SE feature phones are so powerful and featurepacked that in order to lambast it's image there has to be the need to compare it with the other class that can match/outperform it's specs. and that is the smartphones. The only feature phone capable of competing C905 was the KC910 - but this phone has only two ideal adantages: Touchscreen and video recording resolution.

SE phones has never been as high-end as nokia's, when talking about cam-phones: Remember K750 versus N90 or k800 versus n73/n93 or let alone k850 versus n95. I think with c905 the gap isn't too big

You said yourself that SE cam phones has never been as highend as nokia while at the same time you said the gap on C905 isn't too big. so that means C905 is just as high/more high end than nokia camphones then (unless it's the opposite)

Pardon me, but this started because I was trying to decide between C905, Renoir, i8510 and Pixon. Reason being, because they will be available in the UK at similar contract prices. This puts them in direct competition with each other. It is a very valid discussion, and is totally on topic in a C905 thread. Where else would it go?
For someone who hardly posts in topics, it is a very arrogant stance to tell everyone we make you 'sick to the stomach', so please read the thread first before giving everyone a hard time.

That issue Marty, could/would be solved by perhaps having a separate dedicated "which phone to buy" section.

What about the N95? I'm comparing between C905, the i8510, Renoir and Pixon. The Samsungs and LG have excellent VGA and WVGA (D1?) quality.

Sorry I'm just a bit cynical because every time up to now I've heard people defend vga recording they use the N95 as an example.

But fair enough I haven't actually seen video from the i850 as yet. Since you say it's good I'm interested in looking closer at it. If you are right then it's certainly a major advantage of the i850 (I don't know much about the renoir - I'll take your word for it)

Personally I still rate the SE UI high in the priority of deciding factors between the A200 C905 and the s60 samsung. I'm also not overly fond of the LG UI, though it does have some innovations (but also some glaring inefficencies).

But as you say everyone has different needs.

The only problem with s60 UI is that it is not so apealing compared to A200
