SONY XPERIA Rumors 2014 |

1080p is good for 2014, for two main reasons
1- higher resolutions panels still suffer from availability and we're already having issues with Z2..
2- I think that even the 805 will have hard time keeping up with that resolution...
the third reason is : my upgrade plan moved to 1H of the year so it will be better to have higher res. panel with 64bit Qualcomm in the Z4 by then
Now Sony, please increase the internal memory, 16GB sounds silly in 2014, how it could sound in 2015 !!
more review sites criticized the Z2 for the low internal memory, I hope Sony will listen to them as how they listen to other notes... not to forgot the low sound volume for voice, ringtones, notifications & speaker phone...

Z3 screen is still 1080P! Sensor 2070M upgrade. The latest high-pass 805. There will be a new color. . Thickness 9MM less. . One ultra-narrow metal frame. . :-D
9MM less?
-0.8MM? (8.2MM z2 - 9MM z3)
a nonexistent phone?
i just hope they keep the big battery even if they make the device slimmer.
This will be the device from another universe with 4 dimensions

8.2mm(z2)-9mm=7.3mm(z3)
if true, it is actually a record breaking in slimness for a highend device with 5.2" display, big camera sensor, waterproofing, big battery, etc.

Who's Rachel?^
The improved sensor, less than 9mm thickness and ultra narrow frame does make sense with the rumor about the 1/2.4" sensor.
( I'm talking about that: http://appleinsider.com/artic[....]el-horserace-with-2014-iphones )
Sony could reduce all these things with a slightly smaller sensor, advantages in production could lead to at least the same picture quality despite the smaller pixels.

Rachel was Sony Ericsson's 1st venture into Android AKA the Xperia X10.

I have no idea how you've managed to keep that phone for so long, I gave mine away early last year. Anything you upgrade to at this point will be a super breath of fresh air, the Xperia Z3 will truly be an upgrade worth having.

Exactly, more than 1080p has only minuses in my opinion:
- higher battery consumption, because of the extra processing power required
- higher battery consumption, because of the display panel itself
- higher probability of dead pixels
The only plus (higher density and therefore higher sharpness) in this case will be barely noticeable and cannot compensate for the minuses.
Unless of course you look at your phone from a distance of less than 10cm |

@Dexter
Like the others said, Rachel is the Xperia X10. SE used to name their phones with female's names (perhaps because they were the WTA's sponsor)
@Tsepz
I use custom ROM, that's how I survive . Like what you said, any phone is literally a big upgrade for me . But currently there is no phone in the market that gives me the i-must-own-that-phone feeling. So, hopefully that brown colour rumor is true |

anything above full HD on a 5 inch screen is pointless, there is no benefit and the costs are too much.
OLED would be nice but I am still wondering how the battery use will be, especially when white is being displayed a lot.
Looking forward to this new design and how Sony will execute it. |

Anyone knows how Sony was thinking with A2? it´s like releasing Z1F all over again |

Apparently the Xperia Z2 Ultra will be unveiled at IFA, rather than at Mobile Asia Expo, as no hardware announcement will be there, according to a spokesman...
...and the Xperia A2 may be also sold in overseas markets in three months. Shake my head.
