What you see on your phone is a molding issue. It is a nit line from the molding because the cut out for the sensor is molded in and there is a small core in the mold. The plastic has to flow around the core and where it meets up it leaves a nit line. That could affect every phone that is out there if the same molding process was used on all of the front covers. Sad but true.
There is now a crack appearing on my Arc above the sensor. I guess I have to get this sorted under warranty. |

Oh dear why do SE ALWAYS end up making bad build material decisions? This cracking issue reminds me of the W850 dpad, S500/W580 keypad, and X1 corners cracks, hope they fix this soon or its going to be a huge problem one of which they realy cant afford at this point.

Battery question!!
Does any of you guys see battery % fluctuating? Like, mine nowadays goes to like 70% then up 72% then after a while 70% again. Sometimes it's as small as 2% and other times it can be 12%
I'm not sure if it's a heating problem, I live in Egypt, the weather is insanely hot (not like Gulf hot, but still hot) and I get from hot to Air Conditioned frequently. Also, I've never seen battery temperature below 32 celcius. It's not really bugging me but I don't want this to be damaging the battery!
As for heating, it does heat near the earpiece when I'm talking on the phone, angry birding or browsing. Probably CPU, 'coz since it happens while talking on the phone the screen is off.
Apart from all that....brilliant phone and loving it
I don't play games much but it gets occassionally warm when heavy browsing.
However nothing critical.

Hi,
Today I have an X10 and is thinking of upgrade to probably an Arc. Many of U have now used the Arc for quite some time. Have U noticed any lagging in its performance? Any other things that didn't fulfill your expectations? Saw the writing about the crack above the light sensor.

My arc does not have any cracks and I have not noticed any lag (have had mine since March). My wife has an X10 and it really is a big difference the arc reacts much much faster (perhaps a combination of the digitizer and the newer version of Android).

I've been using my arc since april and I don't have any single problem. No crack, no peformance lag and much much much better than my previous X10.
With arc, I don't need custom rom. |

I confirm two above opinions. No problem besides ONE:
the phone occassionally resets it's time and date.
But it looks I'm one of just a few people encountering this and looks like
most users don't report it at all.

ive had midnight blue arc since launch and havent had any problems with lag or performance at all. It does have the crack at the top of the sensor (if u look very closely though) but I have unfortunately dropped it a couple times. Coming from an x10 it is much faster and feels much better to use...loving this phone and cant put it down...best phone out there. Friends have incredible s n nexus s n they are great phones as well but all agree the arc looks the best...camera performance is better than anything out there as well...call me a fanboy but this is an awesome phone that I dont understand why it didnt sell as well as the crappy Samsung phones which ive used before. |

Hi everyone! I just bought my Arc a few days ago, and this is my first Android device, so I got a question, that is, what's the benefits of rooting our device? For an example? |

on the demo video of the arc it shows the menu screen able to be used when the phone rotates on its side so the icons rotates with it, like on the play. Obviously the arc doesn't do this, think they'll add it later?

Hi !
Totally rooting your phone gives you permission to Read/Write the system files ! Which this include many tweaks !
Like : first of all having Custom ROMs ... or for example louder your phone speaker sound ... there are many apps need root access to be working ... |

And some more!
Quite pricey when you check the current Yen to Pounds exchange rate
These ones above and below are aluminium!
and the one with the dog is 14,800 Yen at 127 yen to the pound = 116 pounds!
