I think I've fixed the wakelocks.
I had an app called catch me if you can and seemingly it was bugging out and constantly running in the background, even though Ihadn't launched it .
I have uninstalled it and my phone is sleeping as it should.
SCRATCH THAT!
Still draining. I have no idea what is going on.I can lose up to 10% an hour at times on standby.I haven't seen these absurd levels of drain since the early days of Android.
Is there anyway to flash back to the old firmware if I don’t have root and a locked bootloader?

I now have the system update notification. How common is the wakelock bug?

has anyone tried factory reset after fw update? thing is I do have a worse battery life compared to 4.2 but not THAT bad
~ 10% over night with stamina on and wi-fi on
4.2 was ~ 5% over night
There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane, the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it I have now surpassed.

I bet it's the Stamina Mode which is buggy.

I'll disable stamina and see how I go.
With the 4.2 firmware if something was preventing the phone from going into sleep stamina would let you know, now the phone refuses to go to sleep at all and I get no notification as to what is causing it.The only clue I have is that AndroidOS is keeping the phone awake constantly.
Edit.
Even with stamina disabled android os is chewing through battery.
It basically stays awake constantly. I have disabled every single possible service, cleared the data on a whole bunch of apps and isits still not going to sleep.

I have excelent battery life with Stamina mode on 4.2.2, that`s why I decided to skip 4.3 cause I get only 1% over night draining with 4.2.2. This was discovered when I forgot to plug my phone to charge and it was on only 2%... in the morning it was still awake with 1% left. |

Ok. I think I found the problem for real now.
I had an app with push notifications enabled which I think was the cause of the wake locks.
I uninstalled it early this morning and the phone has behaved well.
The app hadn't caused issues before, although I do recall it being flagged by stamina on one of the previous firmwares.
*fingers crossed * |

It is still doing it.
It was fine at work all day then when I got back home Android OS started to drain battery again.
It seems to be the pattern, it will be o.k as long as I remain in one area, once I start moving about it'll go all stupid.
Maybe it's Location services? |

Location based Wi-Fi?

I have disabled location based wifi and wifi and it continued to drain.
I also have gps disabled so it can't be that.
I'm going to disable location services and see how that goes for the day, if that fails I give up. Maybe I'll try flashing back to the old firmware. |

I updated a few days ago. Haven't noticed any problems and battery seems to last about the same as on previous firmware. |

I done afactory data reset and I am quite confident now that the issue has been resolved.
I done a fresh install before too, but for whatever reason it still gave me issues.
I'm also using the stock Sony launcher for now, i was using nova before.
I'll go back to nova if things the phone behaves itself. |
