@ferr
RE: Tooth extraction - It will really inflame esp if the procedure involves a molar or pre-molar tooth, or if it involves stitching. I suggest you take NSAIDs to relieve the pain and swelling... Typically an OTC mefenamic acid will relieve, but you can also choose higher generation NSAIDs that are pleasing to the stomach and less frequently taken. Most dentists also give antibiotics for prophylaxis against infection which, if left untreated, might lead to future heart problems. Antiseptic gargles are also a good oral care practice post-extraction.

@jepaz - Inflammation is a natural occurrence from any invasive procedure and it does not necessarily lead to infection. Infections would usually manifest as non-specific symptoms such as fever or URTI and at the extreme end, rheumatic heart disease, although at the local area, excessive swelling and puss formation commonly occur.

@warp - RE: PM - I already have 3 right now... next time na lang siguro... tsaka bussy ago

@ferr - Awww.... sarap sana! hehehe... An ice cream can relieve some of the pain and is pleasing to the taste bud too! There are some oral gargles that have some local anesthetic effect... It doesnt take off much of the pain and it doesnt last long but its worth a try!

@Ferr
Mahapdi ang listerine because of the menthol... Might just further inflame it... Try difflam or orofar-L (with Lidocaine). Happy eating, dude!
