You know what my prediction is?
you guys are all concentrating on X12 this and X12 that... Anzu this and that... whereas we all know this phone revealed here is not going to save  asses. by the time it will be released the hardware and software will be so outdated. the dark horse here i believe will be the PSPhone and could, if certain things happen, save
you guys dont fully realise the potential. with the new processing chips coming out, phones will have dual cores and more power than ever before, hell phones will be able to surpass PS2/XBOX performance before 2011 is up. Mobile gaming will sky rocket, if can get the PSPhone right i believe it will save the company and get a headstart in this new market that will be booming very soon.
mark my words, you heard it here first. mobile gaming will be huge by the end of 2011. |

imho what is really holding mobile gaming back at this time is all this touch screen only business. heck the hardware on phones released now can come close to PS2 performance. but there is no real feasable way to play proper full games on touchscreen phones apart from playing "time killer" games. The PSPhone will allow this platform to come into fruition with dedicated gaming controls. it will happen, if screw it up, someone else will come in and take it. either way mobile gaming will be big business soon, if get it right early they will get a good start. |

He was bullshitting about SE last year and quite some time before too and claimed they would be like Siemens, closing shop soon. They proved all his predictions wrong and actually started making money this year. Whether him and other immature folks in here want to admit it or not, SE's smartphones have been well accepted, selling well and is making them money. That's doing good business in my books.
...and no, I don't care what SE Russia told him because no one outside Russia cares about Russia. It has no relevance to the world market. Add to that stupid statements like "If it does not have 12 MP it will fail" (When he was chastising SE for playing the Megapixel game when the Satio was launched) and I have very little reason to pay attention to this man.
Not a lot of people in here understand what market segmentation is, nor am I expecting them to do so any time soon. But a basic display of intelligence would be nice. |

C'mon guys. What is real and water is not will be clear at release date. Even between announcement and release makes little changes.
There is no need to bash Eldar. He's known for being harsh on any manufacturer. He, and we all, just want the best possible phone.

This is indeed a rumours thread but if Eldar, who is 'supposedly' having inside info writes silly comments then they need to be addresed. Eldar mentioned in one of his Spillikins editions recently that he was having a number of SE's upcoming devices in his possession and was impressed so much so that he is seeing the kind of SE he was longing for. All of a sudden his mood has changed. After the Nokia N8 debacle I don't know know why anybody would still believe Eldar, add to that the many blunders and incorrect info he has made and given you get an impression of someone who has no credibility at all.
synn is correct, Russia is one of the many markets for SE, and it's not even their major one, so Eldar should stop his skewed thinking in that the Russian market is the be all and end all market for SE. Granted, SE screws up quite a bit and infuriatingly so but they are doing better than previously, they are not there yet but are trying to get there.
Personally, I don't feel that the Anzu is SE's flagship for the year but an X10 that is better optimized and with an up-to-date OS.
