Can anyone confirm or have an idea when will be the r1j released??? im gonna bring back my k800 to SE SC before my 3months waranty expires.. that will be next month expiration...
will my waranty of fw upgrade renewed if i bring my fone back for re-repair/flashing??

I have been waiting for R1JC for ages. Seems some FOTA has it and some don't. Don't have a need to change CDA and no problems with R1GB at all so I just wait for SEUS. If SE won't release it also fine for me.
You got very short warranty time there. I thought SE has standard 1 year warranty.
As far as I know your warranty is counted from the first time you bought your phone and won't be extended. But it depend on SE policy in your country. What local SE authorized service center give me is 1 month warranty on any repair. But this warranty only valid for the same problem.
If you are really desperate you may try wotan/kulan/DVT flashing as it is full reflash. But make sure their client can recognize your phone by pressing C button first. Otherwise you will waste your money buying credit.

what i meant for my waranty is my fw warranty.. they gave me 3months from the time they reflashed my fone...
my fone crashed again after more than a month.. |

He can if he is willing to pay. Just use third party to flash to your local customization (you need to search that as I have no idea which CDA India belong to). It void warranty but I doubt the French warranty have much advantage since your friend is in India anyway. The cost of sending the phone back to France for repair will not justified it.
Anyway I change my wife Z610 language from APAC to TAIWAN with Kulan then to HONGKONG with wotan. SEUS will NOT allow this.

What we learn about this is ppl can at least try using different language interface in SEUS if something is wrong after SEUS flashing. It might take you to other mirror server that have firmware which is not corrupt.
Also it is not just the firmware that reside on the server that can corrupt. The transmission/download also may cause corrupt file (it just took 1 false bit to make your mobile does not work as it should) even though the original file is OK. Who knows there is surge spike along the transmission line.
Mind you that you will still get firmware according to your mobile CDA string!

You are almost correct but not quite. You are offered a language choice based on the region of your phone. You can not simply decide if your phone was purchased in China that you want a European language pack. If I am understanding you correct, you continue to make this assumption. Second the f/w is NOT on the server corrupted. You are most likely having a CRC error when downloading. Again, you make false statements without backing them up with facts. You can get a bad install simply because the phone reads something bad. To assume that SE puts corrupted software on its servers is totally insane and misleading. Before I post here, I check with my SE sources to get the facts. You should do the same before you post something that is not correct.

Man, I am speechless. Sorry to be rude but you need to learn to read again properly. I have make my point clear that SEUS will only update according to your CDA string whichever language interface you choose. Your brain make that assumption not me. This is getting funny actually

Anyway I NEVER say SE put corrupt firmware on PURPOSE. The server may be hit by spike and all data can be corrupt just like that. You can say anything you like but as far as my concern this is the last time I reply about this topics. |

Oh OK, I thought you are talking about hardware warranty. I really have no idea about that, sorry. I guess it will depend on your local service centre policy.
The last time I flash at service centre is pre-SEUS. In 2004 I got problem with erratic keypad and joystick (T630) and they also reflash my firmware and said that I got 1 month warranty if the same problem occur again. Also when I flash my S700 in 2005 (no hardware problem this time) they didn't say anything about firmware warranty.
You just need to ask them about this.

This is what you said. If you do not mean this or understand english well, maybe you can take a course. The SEUS only give you a choice (look up the word) according to your phone. You make it sound like you have multiple choice of language packs. If you did not mean this, then there is a communication problem. Second I simply ask you to post as fact, not as your opinion which you do quite often. I have not seen you back up anything as coming from SE, but simply from your deep well of opinions.
As for the data spikes, once again speculation on your part. You try to speak like an expert but you simply have no clue nor will you back up your assertions. This was my only direct post to you. Most of the time I simply ignore you ramblings and inaccuracies but this time, and the only time I spoke directly to you, you had said somethings that were simply false and misleading. If you do not know then don't speak. There is nothing wrong with not knowing. The bottom line is speak if you know and if not, don't because if I know the answer, I will correct you and embarrass you here and now. It is not about making you look bad but about people having the correct info.
If you didn't know it, there were some really good people in this forum that could run rings around most here but they left because of people such as your best friend batsh_t and others and the fact that people have started making crap posts that are not based in fact.

Right guys n girls,
I've been reading this forum for ages now, waiting for small spec of light that is R1G or better coming to O2UK, however all I seem to find is sapporobaby arguing with everyone. Funny how it's not just my back you got up a few months ago, but yuo're doing it to half of esato. You need to grow and realise that you do not own these forums, so stop policing them, if people want to express their opinion or view who are you to stop them. It's all good that you have sources in SE and we thank you for the info that you occasionally bring to the table, but most of the time it is bickering.
So for god's sake, can we let this thread be about K800 firmware and not about each others intelligence or lack of and taking mother's phone numbers. It's rediculous.
