I rember the days when i had my trusty t68 (with firmware mod to t68i) waiting for the p800 to come out.
Looks like things havent changed one bit with people going crazy over thier next phone. must admit i was one of them too !!!
All i can say is hey chill out n let the phone come out when it wants to instead of raising our own blood pressures over it !!!
ciao for now !!!

I've been avoiding these pages as its just so repetitive
but... I just spoke with the manager of the local CPW who hasn't let me down yet and he said that CPW will be launching the M990 (and M600) ni September.
I also spoke to vodafone new sales and also vodafone upgrades and they have 21st August as their launch date and have zero stock, including what is visible as arriving in the next week... not that I would buy a branded one but I saw someone else here mentioned vodafnoe so I thought I'd check just out of interest.
I'm a bit ho hum about it all now and wondering why I would want much the same as I already have in the M600 but in a much bigger package.
I expect though, that I'll get drawn in when they are available, as usual...

It seems like the price in UK is a bit higher then it is in sweden. The price i have is about 600 euro with a monthly cost for about 20 euro (in 18 months) with I can use to call and so...
75£ a month seem pretty high!!

If its cheaper on a new contract, then i'll just cancel the current one and get my pac code and do it that way...
thats if it's out by then

I reckon it will be about £400 on an existing £75 per month contract, I very much doubt there will be many deals to be had on new contacts either.

@Joel80
I pay £75 per month but get 1000 minutes inclusive a month and I use every one of them!

That's still a lot of money... If I pay around 75$ (not £!) a month I get free everything... SMS, MMS and to all networks at all time.

Okay good news
www.scancom.co.uk have stocks coming on Friday and I spoke to their Orange sales manager (ask for her by name "Bhavesha") and they currently estimating they will have 50 units unallocated. So call them on (UK) 08700 110210. All the P990s are for Orange business and personal contracts (UK only). I also believe this first batch are not Orange branded. Good Luck.

the dilemma regardign buying a P990 vs one of the other "coming soon" smartphones takes me back to the days when I was living in London and travelling the M25...
...everyone else's lane always seemed to be travelling faster, until you change lanes!

I really do not belive this phone will be available TESTED and WORKING on any UK network until September at the earliest.

My voda business manager has been quoting that i'll get one in my hands around the 21st August, for about a month now (it's in this thread).
i believe him as he was right with my p800, p900 and p910i.
this thread is full of so much other crap - like saying "if" it's released.. i mean come on..
bring on the "ive got a p990" thread which might be a little more useful..
