Is this true, what he says about the keyboard missing keystrokes..?
It's sounds they got a prototype.. At least that's what I hope.
And does it also miss keystrokes when in landscapemode? That's what I would like to know.
And why doesn't he say anything about the picture-in-picture zoomfunction?
That makes surfing on the net so much easier. People should know that the x10 has such a helpfull function. |

i found the comment about the keyboard missing input kind of strange too. no one else has complained of such a problem. In fact, the ones that do the live video review seem to type up messages rather easily.
I would love to see a video displaying this flaw. it would be a terrible bug to have if it's true.

The Swedish review posted at previous page http://www.swedroid.se/test-av-sony-ericsson-xperia-x10, claims the keyboard is suprisingly nice and do not report any issues. Must be something specific with the device Engadget got. |

CNET loved the keyboard also..but I did find it odd that you cannot text msg in landscape mode. Over at Engadget they are gonna bash any not iPhone.

Well then, f**k Engadget!
The X10 kicks the Iphones ass on almost all fronts, at least, for me it does.
Who do they think they are, given false info on a perfect product?
Proof that landscape-keyboard will work with mailing; first subject in this video:

Should we mail it to Disgadget?
Why does even bother to send a phone for review to them?
Clearly, they don't know what they are talking about..
Offtopic:
Sealover, do you have any connection with the guys of Engadget?
Who are you anyway? You're just a person who likes to take long walks on the beach?
Also I've have a feeling you would like to have an Iphone, is that right?
Are you sure you are a guy?
Not that I would mistake you for a woman (I like women), it's just you act like a bitch

I hate to say it but in that video he's using the email client in landscape. All the complaints I've read regarding the KB in landscape (and there have been a few, though all with pre-release units) were to do with the SMS app.
I'm sure there are some issues with the X10. It's Sony's first Android phone and makes extensive use of custom software. But I have faith everything that can will be fixed in due time. |

According to the CNet review:
".....Timescape appears to suck a lot of the phone's energy so we were glad that you can set the frequency of Timescape updates.....".
That's one question that was asked earlier on in the thread - I think by moogoo.

What an Appalling demo, this guy loves his own voice, he also loves "playing" with the thing rather than doing a structured test its very poor he keeps jumping from subject to subject as things pop into his head.
As I predicted some time ago, its clear Timescape does struggle when subjected to a load, so I for one am not surprised at that, and its clear that the more information it has to load the worse its performance is going to be.
I agree with engadget that the gloss finish is likely to ruin quickly and that would also be a big concern for me.
What about giving us a proper in-depth run through of the Music player? we all know what a music player sounds like! I want to know about bookmarking, Playlists, Sleep timers, etc etc.
The problems with the keyboard: I am not surprised about this I am a long time advocate of resistive screens rather than capacitive screens, I am told time and time again I am wrong BUT I have used every single member of the p*series since day one with few miss hits.
I have now tried out THREE Android handsets with Capacitive screens G1 G2 and Nexus and ALL of them give errors on a regular basis it is a problem with the technology its self NOT the X10 Capacitive screens are simply NOT as accurate as Resistive screens and anyone expecting the accuracy they have had with resistive screens is in for a shock.

In the past phones allowed you to send all contacts via bluetooth I wonder if that will work, alternatively try the following:
Sync your Satio with Outlook on your PC
Then export all your contacts, and calendar from Outlook to your desktop
Set up or open your Gmail or Googlemail account and import your contacts and calendar files.
Then set up your gmail or googlemail account on your X10 and it will sync your contacts and calendar automatically.
If you need to sync your X10 with Outlook you will need to buy some third party SW and the only one that I know of that works reasonably well is Gsyncit

This is by far the easiest way I found. I done the same with my C905 - Satio and it worked flawlessly.
