Meh, I don't think the vivid is a good thing.. the pictures are starting to look like the Nokia N73's artificial colouring, and I absolutely hate it.

Sorry to say this, but I'm not a big fan of this permanent vivid setting for EM/ENM.

viewfinder on SPU drv is slower than on Kriomag drv. can someone confirm that this has any influence on the picture sharpness?

Not sharpness but the autofocus accuracy. Faster viewfinder - faster focus, but lower its accuracy. This has been tested many times on russian forum.
May be there exists some ballance between focus quality and viewfinder speed, but in this way we need to change the default shutter speed and this is not good (the default way to make a fast viewfinder - to remove frame skipping and don't change shutter speed).

yep,that is right!. faster VF makes AF less acurate,especialy in normal mode(seq_set_prop_7_0).
Use fast VF ONLY in night mode(seq_set_prop_7_1) or ENM.okay?

now.i get "the better" with vivid,but i still prefer the default one(control by firmware, not by seq_init)

for me(look my signature), sharpeness 6 is great than other value!
another phone, CID or firmware,please report

@guguly
probably from 7.7 base nothing already became in code this was only start point to many modyfications

@obentou
nahh... n73 has totally oversaturated colours, our phones with vivid are far from this. it's very nice idea to add saturation but ofcourse this shouldn't be to high value to get reasonable effects

Firmware does not control the saturation, it's always 00 by default. So if you don't like "vivid" set the saturation to 00.
I'll experiment will sharpness later...

Best... i like 6, but i can't notice the difference with 5... 4 is a little bit undersaturated for me. Maximum - about 32.

vivid is good(or not) if using seq_set_prop_0=$s0 %0 $-0 0a 06 02 00 01 $w0 06 #CMD_END;

but,if using seq_set_prop_0=$s0 %0 $-0 09 06 02 00 01 $w0 06 #CMD_END;
"the Real color" is going to unreal color.

I agree with you if it comes as standard
but as optional no
because some of the pic can be greate if you increase the color

like the ones here

I quite agree with obentou, i think the camera should take 'real' color with great detail. We can edit it later in pc with bigger screen monitor

@DarKMaGiCiaN
I think your picture is too saturated and looks not natural to me. If you prefer it as unnatural look, so be it

that why I said it is Ok to have it as optional like K 21.9
in sunset for example it it is good to increase the color of the view to give a good mixture of the orange red yellow and blue colors

"If you know something, you know nothing" =) My driver is not any driver There is no such lines in my driver. But if you want to know the result... yes, shots are undersaturated (-0.3 EV) by the default.

Btw. I'm afraid sharpness 4 is the best for me.
