@rockygali,

Well, I tried to block everything except the frong flash light. It didn't work. The flash still refused to flash except in VERY dark (almost complete dark) condition. I start to suspect there's something wrong with my MXE-60.

The only problem is that I've tested diferent scenes whith te dieferent ddrivers, but they had very general defects, for example, 5.3 had the problem that took photos with a marker color of the main light, so no real colors reached.... 9.9 was very fast to focus, but... it's focus was a bit imprecise..., 2.441: I didn't like it's night mode and the sharpness was not enough for me, then all erzan's drivers had too the problem of sharpness.... Y tested an edited 5.3 driver which was the best, but...... crashes a lot, it sent me to de main menu when I tried to take a photo...

But there's something courious... I have seen very good photos with 5.3 driver, but only from K750 phones (I use a W800i) I think it's because of the combination FW - Camera Driver...

Y hope find some better driver for mi R1BD001 firmware in my W800i, for now using the original 4.5 Driver which handles the light very well, it only delays a bit to focus a macro, but focuses very good!

Hmm, I'll test some more, but still not sure of sharpness problem with 2.441. I'm doing some comparisons with 2.441 and 5.5ua, and wouild like to include original 4.5 driver.

Like you I find no serious misgivings with the standard driver, but of the modded drivers so far I've felt 2.441 to be the best overall. It's also better colour I feel than original, but I'm still looking into sharpness.

I'll be interested to see what 5.5 is like.

Here are two samples of the W810 R4CE012 driver:

(this one I used -2EV to enhance the silhouette and reduce noise, since it was shady and late in the afternoon)

(this one I used -2EV, on normal exposure the image was washed out.)

I just wanna show the diferences between a original camdriver and a tuned camdriver...

Both photos are in macro mode, led ON

4.5 Original

2.441 ( the best I have seen till now on hybrid drivers...)

The original has more JPEG compression but still mantains a great quality, but still can be better it's just to try making a good hybrid camdriver...

PD: Notice that sharpness is the same un both, but it's only in macromode, when taking photos from the distance the diference is so clear, I hope I could post something to compare, but the work does not give me time to try on sunlight....

Great pictures using the 3.1 version.

People, do you always turn on the macro mode?

Thank you very much. I wanted to ask about this:-) Another question about camdriver: Is it possible to force MXE-60 to flash even in good light conditions?

Recruit, try it...

I did just a quick test and... its really working! Youre a genius Andeo:-) Pictures taken in daylight are unusable (almost white) but now I can simply remove the flash when I see theres enough light and I dont let the W800 to decide instead of me. Great work! Have to go now, will test it more in the evening.

Hi Andeo,

on the k570 r1ca021 v5.5bu is for now best for me.
compare with 3.1. 3.1 is good with macro from 10cm, but is blury with macro and without macro from 1/2 m distance. v5.5bu is clear, and better when used macro for short distance to 2 m.
v5.5bu for long distance give most sharp and resolution picture. i always test on the same object 200m away and it is the best until now.
maybe for other models and firmware is different.

cheers

Hi... Thanks for the comparison mate... Can you compare the pictures taken in night mode as well. Any comment on video (I know 3.1 does well with video)...

Cheers...

Thanks in advance

@Andeo,

Wow, impressive. Now I can use the Mxe-60 flash. I could not use it because it just refused to flash all the time.

BTW, what is the base of your test2camdriver0.dat? 5.5a, 5.5b or 5.5U? Thanks.
