Tried but didn't work, due to low bandwidth these last couple of days. Network is still integrating 2 networks into one so some towers; redundant ones are being killed and messing with connection in my moms city, will give a try tonight as I'm sick with fustration on Opera v8 not working.

heyit works- using it right now man- nice. The improvements can be felt only by previous users as the software has been refined. The accelerator is really usable - opera feels so light and exits so fast. Major work done on this baby. Also pages which are graphics intensive seen to open like a dream. Wow.

Arrggh! I've created mIRC monsters! You guys are favoring better than I am.
@Paul thanks for the info. Now I'm ticked as I cant get it working. v6.20 wasnt preinstalled on my unit and no Help from Nokia Canada here. Wow all the more reason for me to upgrade to the 6682 when available, or North American version of the n70.
I can get v6.20 working outside of the demo mode, 2 simple files I put into e\system\data worked. Even removing these doesnt solve my v8 Opera issue.
VERSIONS from Opera's site:
opera_s60_800_AMERICAS_70s_20
opera_s60_800_EMEA_70s_20
Niether work even after complete removal of my v6.20 - including the cracked files.
@Si was the file in .rar format if so was it the DMOE file or the SMPDA rar files? Neither works for me also.
My 6620 I swear is possessed. guessing this is my no cracked software lesson. I'll try once more with the BiNPDA and thats it. |

what do you think about 8800? i saw it in the store and it looks elegant. very handy and slim but i has no memory card. Its good for me if it has all the features that 6680 have...

8800 is a seriously SWEET phone. Pure style with 64MB of memory for MP3 playback or Pics. Camera is a full-HALF mega pixel, an odd resolution. Its a Series40 phone and will playback music in the background while you enter a calendar appointment as its Series40 version 3 the latest. BUT its nothing in comparison to the 6680; you cannot install true applications. Just Java ones.
Metal body and a great successor to the original Matrix phone.
If your gonna buy it get the Nokia matching stereo BT headset as well. Then strut in front of the chicks. If your a chick then strut in front of the guys, |

@prom1 hey opera6.2 wasent preinstalled on my phone either, i got it from . I just went to the opera download page and saw that they were giving ver8 for free to 6680 users-why don't you try this ?
Can You please tell me what my 6680 processor speed is?
@all OPERA BUGS and glory
WELL i browsed for 3hours and went to sleep holding the phone-this morning i saw opera still running and CONNECTED! That was nice considering the log showed 9hrs of online time.
1>i con't copy paste from a note or from anythin this essential feature is missing- i don't think its allowed. I generally use notes to write long posts but here its sad
2> very fast browsing and easy to use
3> it doesn't close on its own as before but if you multitask sometimes it closes. Like i opened the log app and opera decided to exit- frustrating sometimes but the other things make me forget this bug

@paul, got v6.2 same place . Did you uninstall it before install v8 or just over it??
Your cpu of 6680 is the same as the 6630 running at 220Mhz Arm9 cpu. Really sweet. As firmwares get better you'll notice speed increases. Dude older Pentium computers from 1997 dont even run that fast, lol.
I'm hesitant to install v8 for the 6680; it'll be coded differently as ur OS is based on Symbian OS 8 - , my 6620 is based on Symbian OS 7.1 big difference in features. Oh wait its the same freakn file, Arrgh.
opera_s60_800_AMERICAS_70s_20
opera_s60_800_EMEA_70s_20
same for the 6620 as for the 6680/1/2's.
Oh yeah should be an option for exiting Opera under Options all the way at the bottom, no? Because it maintains data connection it shouldnt close on its own, not sure if something in options is relevant to timing though???
Notes should be there probably in a different menu.
I've lost some serious sleep over this. Anyone willing to donate a 6682 for the Opera v8 cause, lol. |

There is one annoying thing tho, when i press 8 and then 0, most of the time the 8 gets replaced by the 0

This in Opera v8?? buggy I guess and I'm hoping a fix will happen soon.
I dont think I'll ever pay for Opera for Series60. Why because I think if a company is gonna make software available for use by the public & make incredibly wealthy deals with 2 of the most popular smartphone platforms in the world, you'd think that their moderators/programmers could help users within their sites public access forums. I posted 2 days ago, even helped in 2 other threads for other users, and I swear it; nobody helped. Not even a smartass remark reply to goto their knowledge base - of which cant properly filter out windows based app from S60 when you tell it too. I even combed their knowledge base with a fine tuned comb and NOTHING helps my plight. If the app is so good, a claim by Opera then WHY dont they help potential buyers with unique issues??
moderators can chastasize me on this, but unless a response on their forums is as helpful as I am to other users, I'm only gonna give cracked versions a try. Its reasons like this why programmers/hackers would use time to crack apps, poor lack of support to paying customers or even trialing customers - potential purchasers. Sorry for the rant. I'm helping to get this page finished so a new page will start for a fresh topic. |
