1. Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't GSM still a small market in NA compared to CDMA ?

2. If you only need Edge as a wireless modem, there are dedicated PC cards from SE and other manufacturers just for that.

Nope, the biggest market in the world and in north america is GSM. Cingular is the biggest GSM provider, and it's currently the leader. More than 8 million people!

Eight million people!!! Incredible! Here in Belgium (10 million people), we have more than 8 million mobile phone users...

Maybe he meant the biggest provider in North America not in the world.

OK LISTEN UP!

Ive just noticed something on the W800 advert.
on the part where you see the music being transfered, it shows the memory left on the mobile phone....

Zoom in and it says 59.6Gb!

Does this mean it can support MS Duo Pro up to 64Gb????
It SOUNDS like it. They wouldnt put it on the advert if it didnt!

Batesie, that is correct from what u have discovered. The memory capacity will be as good as 64Gig since there are no limitations on the card reader. However, the memory sticks need to be made widely available @ a decent price.

What if the next P series phone comes out around the same time as the W800 ?

Right now, im really struggling to decide whether to buy a second hand cheap S700i to last me until the W800 comes out. As good as the K700i's camera is, i'd like a mp cameraphone right now to take larger, much less grainy images than i can currently.

So, with the W800 we get a 512mb MSPD, and proper headphones.

I reckon the price of this phone is going to escalate.

I've been wondering about this for a while now since the W800 was announced. Does anyone think that its possible SE might in some way (by way of a card format or something) force the 512mb MSPD that comes with the W800 only capable of handling music files ?

It just seems too generous that SE would give us a 512mb card to use for anything, even if the phone is aimed at being a Walkman. Silly idea, or possibility ?
