I read your post again and again, this is very simple (but a big job) just Rewrite of OSE drivers is needed.

Finished the update now. I got the R3K004 firmware AS WELL AS the original ITALIAN language!!!

Does it take long to update using a p800 sync stand?
I've found file transfer to be extremely slow using one of these and wondered if it will affect the update.
Also has anyone else found that they havent lost anything after the update? |

P800 synstation is no good, needs to be the one that comes with P9 series. (DSS)
Speed is very fast USB.

Hi all, first post here, I hope someone can answer my question.
Just noticed the SEUS link in Global Support for S700i, now I don't yet have a DSS25 sync station but when I click on the link I get the welcome to SEUS page but the main part of the page is blank, is this because there is no phone detected or is this service not working yet.
Also I have a branded O2 UK handset with R3B, is the R3K update available for O2 or do I have to unbrand my phone to get the update. How do you go about unbranding a phone (procedure/cost) and is it safe to do as my phone is only 4 months old but has issues with BT and Menu Navigation that I hope an update would cure.
Thanks in advance for any help given. |

-if the main part of the page is blank then u possibly need to update java on your computer from java.com...i had the same problem
-i also have an O2 UK handset with R3B...and it doesnt work, just says something like your operator does not support SEUS.grrrr so yes u need to unbrand. i have just ordered a cable from completefone.com to use with setool, so should be able to use SEUS soon

That is the problem, but no job for anyone but SEMC developer. Very big job, when i get time i will have a look into it but i wont be able to do it i am sure. Only SEMC developer. |

Many P800s came with a DCU-11-cradle instead of a DSS-20 or DSS-25. Either one of the DSS models is needed for the update.

I have checked Java.Com and I am using the most recent version.
What cable do you need to use and how much is SETools and what are the risks of damaging the phone beyond repair.
I assume we will see a O2 firmware release in the next century then, surely these Firmware updates should be generic across operators.
I have just checked the Sim Lock menu on the phone and the phone is not locked so surely updating is possible without debranding. For debranding due you need the unlocking cable or can you use the DSS25 syncstation?

I get this message after im told to put the S700i in the syncstation.

-there are 2 cables, either a t28 (serial) or a fighter cable (usb). you can use a dss-25 with davinci, but ive read of too many people having problems using it to want to try it myself.
-the cost of setool credits depend who you buy them off. since O2 are s*it at most things i doubt they will ever release another O2 firmware.
-the sim lock menu only stops u using sims from a different network, I believe SEUS checks the CDA number on your phone to see if ur alowed 2 upgrade...setool can change the CDA number to one which SUES will accept
