Simple firmware flashing is only(on normal tab) which doesn't discounts credit from the user. If you upload language or customization file or use Default page to flash phone it discounts one credit.

Yes you can. Use the NORMAL page flash with 3 files (*.K7S, *.K7L and *.K7C). You will need 1 credit.

people. i have just debranded my vodafone branded k700!! after 3 long weeks, searching for the answer, looking in every vodafone shop, and evry market that gets rid of vodafone crap off the phone, and i have found the answer, which u all know by now.
i jus like to thank every one who participated on this forum topic, thanks to anlog, jools, iamcrunchie and many others that have helped me during the process. and evryone,,, yes the 1.28 is confusing, but stick with it. first wat i did was the default first, then after 20 minutes of uploading, i quickly went on normal and did everything there.thats all, . so ppl its default first, do wat it says, then normal second. thats the way i did it. result??? mp3s as ringontes, menu icons are faster frame rate, more smooth, look nicer, has more memory cos the vodafone screen saver is off, frames issue fixed, backlight is improved . too many to say.

Well, I just got back from a mates house after trying unsuccessfully to de-brand my O2 K700...
Using TOTAL Multserver v1.28
I followed all the instructions to the letter, but got a variety of errors at various stages of the process.
1st Attempt: Stopped at the "Sending preloader..." stage
2nd Attempt: After "Sending preloader..." stage I got "Error occured: 0x002A09"
3rd Attempt: After "Sending Flashlolader..." stage I got "Error occured: 0x002A20"
4th Attempt: After "Sending preloader..." stage I got "Error occured: 0x002A09"
Fortunately, my phone is still working, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Any ideas? Could it be the PC? The cable came from FaceOff and seems to work because it communicates with the phone partially...

How many credits did it cost you to do both DEFAULT and NORMAL modes? Do you have to keep the phone turned off between performing the DEFAULT and NORMAL steps? I want to debrand and do the firmware update only (English T9 is perfect for me)

I am glad that you managed to do it! If you can explain it a bit more so that we try to clear the things up with 1.28 version. I guess you did id in a way it is written in a program not on the web page?

I finally got it working after my error (see arlier posts) after the guy in support e-mailed me back and said it was just one of those things and it would work the second time. It did.

But I used the default option and got charged one credit for this! SO I triued again with no credits and it worked but now my account shows as two credits used after I only bought one. This still annoys me though since I shoudl still have the credit I paid for left! Then again in the help in the app it says:

Now that I have decustomised my hone I'd like to upgrade from R2A to R2L. Is this possible with Total Multiserver? Or should I just go into a SE Service Center and they should upgrade me for free shouldn;t they? And they won't want to replace my firmware with the Vodafone one will they?

@JoolsG4 - have you tried a lower baud rate? Have you got hardware flow control on?

The baud rate was set at the lowest setting 115200. I'm not sure what hardware flow control is?!
If its the DTR and RTS check boxes in Multiserver, then both of those are on.

Try a different PC m8, maybe yours has a dodgy serial port. If its old it may not have a 16550 UART chip which was the first capable of 115200 bps.

I got a reply from FaceOff Mobiles and they also suggested trying another PC. Trouble is everyone I know has a Mac!! Thanks for your help!

Hi Vee,
I've tryed this and flashed K700_R2AA003_EU3.K7C to get back T9 (NL) after de-branding. I can't see any diference though. Still only T9 (UK). I downloaded this file with totalserver from the customization folder. This is the only file I flashed. |

please use support@movitel.net for the issues or the other forum I mentioned before where there is offical TS support area.
I wrote that for people that debranded their phone before version 1.28. As you can see a lot of things changed in this new version so be careful before doing anything. My guess is that you should do the whole DEFAULT page flash with *.K7S and *.K7D files and afterwards the full flash on NORMAL page with (*.K7S), *.K7L and *.K7C... You will need 2 credits for that all. If you still don't get T9 NL contact Murphy ad above email and I am sure he will sort your problem.
