No - its more likely that it has something to do with your pc's bluetooth installation, drivers or bt-adaptor.
Bluetooth on my K700 works flawlesly in all aspects with my desktoppc, my laptop, my Ipaq, my T610 and my sons V500 - and every BT device amongst my friends that I have tried bluetooting with my K700. In fact apart from the small confirmed batterymeter bug my K700 works flawlesly in all aspects.

regarding k700
when the phone is off and charging.. does the backlight turns off or does it remains lighted all the time?

The bt works very well with my pc and old T610 and new K700. The SE synchstation software worked first time and is so much easier to set up than the old XtendConnect. I use a belkin bt dongle and I can send anything between my K700 and my pc without any trouble whatsoever.
However getting my SE HBH-35 bt headset to work as well with the K700 as it did with my T610 has been a different story. It does work but not as flawlessly as it did before. |

has anyone here had a problem whereby when they plug in their phone to the charger the phone turns off and then turns on again - every two seconds - and then doesn't stop? This only ends when the phone is unplugged from the charger.
I know, pretty random but this has been happening with my phone. Looks like I need to take it in for repairs/exchange.

well, got my K700 today...
My only problem so far seems to be sluggish software |

Given up on the HBH-35 bt headset and decided to try the Jabra BT200. So far so good, much more reliable than my HBH-35.

Calendar Issue:
when making an appointment or setting a reminder for one there is no 'More' option when choosing the day that brings up a month view for you to choose the date, you have to know the date prior.
this was present on the T610.
K700i
fw: R2A041
anyone with newer firmware please check this.
it does display the month view upon first access of the Calendar and if you choose the date there then your ok up until setting an alternative reminder date, there's no access to the month view as in the T610.

For those who have problem-free K700s, please direct me to WHERE you bought and what firmware it was running at the time (if you did the upgrade by now).

The backlight in my phone also remains 'on' while charging with the phone off.

Even I had the same problem when I was using a T39m. I realised that it was due to poor contact between the 2 small pins in the charger plug and the phone connector due to some sort of deposits/ oxidation (I live in a very humid environment). Clean/scrape the pins (with the charger not connected to power) and also the phone connector. Using a very fine screwdriver for doing this may help. Let me know if this works.
Secondly, keep the phone ON during charging. You may not face the problem of the phone going on and off. I don't know why!!!
Do you also get a faint hissing noise from the charger turning on and off along with the phone. I got it.

That is amazing! That is EXACTLY what happens with mine. I can leave the phone on while it is charging and there is no problem. BUT, as soon as I turn it off, it does the cycle.
Also, when I unplug the charger I get that hissing sound!
Well, I tried what you recommended - I scraped the pins on the charger, but it didn't make a difference. In the end did you take back your phone or did you get it to work properly?
I'm going to try and take mine back, but in the meantime at least it charges while I leave it on.
Anyone else with similar problems?

Look at your phone - there are no leds ! You cannot have seen a K700 with any red leds on while charging - cause there arent any.
On the t610 the led was build into the joystick - on the k700 there are no led in the joystick. So this is neither a software nor a hardware error - simply a question of the K700 not having a led that can turn on.

You are so so wrong! if u have a k700 and actually look at it with out just playing on games and then complaining about the battery life you will see that there is a flashing LED underneath the on/off black button. this is so that if your phone is in your pocket and the battery is low you can glance at the top of the phone and check. it only lights up after the first "Attention: Battery Low" warning |
