Yeah, I remember the countdown websites they used to put up before announcements. Haven't seen one of them in ages.

Is it me...or do the numbers in that article not quite add up!
Apple 92%
Samsung 9%
Sony 1%

Total 102%

Where did the extra 2% come from???
Because all the other ones make catastrophic losses. |

Any news on Xperia X Performance's succesor. I like the design better than XZ. I hope there is one coming this year, especially Apple is rumoured to make a 5 inch phone for iPhone's 10th year anniversary.
It would be nice to see all of Xperia X Performance features plus SD 835, 128 gb UFS 2.1 internal ROM, new camera with 3-axis OIS and EIS, wireless charging, and Iris Scanner in Xperia X body (plus alkaleido metal back). This kind of device would be a good alternative to upcoming addition to the iPhone family.
I don't think there is a need for a 5.2" screen flagship. It is quite big for some looking for iPhone 4.7" alternative and quite small for people looking for a phablet.

They said it since 2015 but still keep announces device that equipped Helio P10 chipset (U Play)
High Tech Crash's revenue is severely drop each 35% in past two years.
It really wonder to see them wandering around industry, and no one make bid for merger.

I think the strategy will be more of the same for the time being. Mid - higher end phones with a high margin of profit. We all know that they don't have the marketing bucks of the big guys so it would be difficult right now to go for growth.

It seems like ages since MWC still but FCC is a good sign things are close. No flagship confirmed as yet though.

The current designs (X/XA/XZ and spyshot successors) don't give the impression of a high quality device. The Z3 was the last handset to look and feel the part of the flagship. Until they fix this I'm not sure I can get another Sony.
OnePlus looks like my next phone.
