Oh Bonovox....it was only a matter of time that you joined the dark side and bought a phone from the supposedly broke, loser company that is Sony. I was really tempted to get the Z3C but I can't think of an excuse to get rid of my Z1C. Took all of my latest holiday pics with it at 8MP and have put them into my holiday album and it all looks fantastic.
I'm wondering how durable or scratch resistant the front and back are because cotton wool seems to scratch the Z1C. Also, the sides are not metal but plastic which looks almost transparent from certain angles. What are your views?

I have one like this for my Z1C, does the job for me and is more portable than the dock if you need to charge it at work for example. |

Well,the Z1C has the shatter proof sheets which scratch easily. I love the feel and it's looks very well built & those plastic sides are nothing to worry about I would be more worried if they were aluminium as that can scuff easier. Screen is excellent & what I do love is it is great outdoors in sunlight. The front and back glass feels smooth to the touch for once it seems Sony has finally used some sort of fingerprint repellent. Performance is snappy although I am not wowed by the stereo speakers but still they are better than a mono one. They don't have any bass to speak of compared to the HTC One M8 which actually has some bass to those Boom Sound speakers. I did have an M8. The speakers go loud and clear but a little tinny. Things I hate are the fiddly sim slot & I worry about those flaps which is why I want the dock. Call clarity is fine as is signal but battery too early to say but it hasn't dropped rapidly whilst setting up. Camera is fine slightly blurry around edges but nothing major that most phones don't suffer from. Not nearly as bad as the Z2 I had before. I like it alot am looking forward to having a good play tonight. Phone gets a little warm but not hot

Yes there is a nice selection of resolution settings to choose from which is good

I very much doubt this. Both front and back are still as good as new after over a week. Nothing like the Z1C at all or the sheet they used on the Xperia Z.

No worries anyway much more than older Sony phones am really enjoying this one feel happy. Must admit though Sony does need to work on their keyboard its terrible

I've had Swype on my phones since as far back as I can remember. I must say though that the minty green version is really good looking. I prefer the coloured versions to the usual black & white.

Yes I was between minty and white but minty is nice and refreshing, different ☺ it's nice not having to reach so far up the screen just perfect size with good one handed use despite my 'large' fingers. @pt020 thanks I've been fussy and critical of Sony a lot before and people on here get too worked up over my views. I just want decent quality for my hard earned 😉 nice dock how much are the docks?? I am now using Swiftkey

Welcome back Bono... and you took the green one,my favorite
I use the Z1C dock,it is bit loose but works well,and if I take the adapter out I even can charge it with it's cover on.
