Nokia also said that there was an update to the 920 Pureview would improve the image quality, however after 4 updates the quality remains the same crap !

So I think 1020 will be so !

In most agree with you, the S IV Zoom surprised and proved with a great alternative to Nokia Pureview devices !

My opinion only from the crops:

Test 1: 808, 1020, S IV Zoom

Test 2: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Test 3: 1020, S IV Zoom, 925

Test 4: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Test 5: S IV Zoom, 808, 1020

Test 6: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Test 7: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Test 8: S IV Zoom, 808, 1020

Test 9: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Test 10: 808, S IV Zoom, 1020

Briefly, 808 “True Pureview” is arguably the world’s best cameraphone, S IV Zoom is surprisingly very good and 1020 is a true 920 with 41 MP !!!

Yes i know but it's just my opinion.

But i understand you (know what you mean).

My conclusion is : the 808 is better but the 1020 is better for the common people.

Don't think I'm trying to contradict you this is just what I feel

Stephen Elop Responds To Question About Oversampling Tech In Lumia 1020 Pureview Compared To 808 PureView !

http://wmpoweruser.com/stephe[....]1020-compared-to-808-pureview/

P.S: Elop is simply confirming the fan boys Nokia attempt to deny... 1020 shall always saturated colors (unrealistic) and noise even in images with excellent light conditions !

808 is “True Pureview,” while the 1020 is simply a 920 with 41 megapixel !

Sonysta you still have your 808 ?

808 is “True Pureview,” while the 1020 is simply a 920 with 41 megapixel !

And you know that isn't true

but Sony i1 has not yet been unveiled !

1020 looks like a 920 ok but the camera is not the same. It's a new hardware version of 41mp pureview but you don't like it.

I think i will test the 1020 at launch (maybe)

The cu015170 already tested both devices and mostou clearly that the 808 is much better than 1020, at least for me no doubt !

PS: I know that the Sony i1 has not been released, but all that was said that he will, it proves very promising and quite capable of being better than 1020 !

I had 2 808 and i never really like its camera maybe this is why I prefer camera of 1020.

Just an example why the trees are so blurry on this picture ? : http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/cam/nokia/808_pureview/201308102214urIRpx.jpg it's a nice pics of Sylwester

However good light conditions, landscape...it's typical of 808.

Finally, I do not ask me more questions, I don't ever take a 808 with its low resolution screen and interface of another age.

you would have a hard time keeping that tree line sharp with any camera phone. Whenever you see a photograph by the 808 from someone who knows what they are doing, its pretty much certain that no other phone can match it pixel per pixel in those particular conditions..

Cu015170, I totally agree with you !

In the hands of those who know and really understand photography, the 808 is better than 1020, S IV and any other phone ever launched in history !

No other cameraphone delivers much detail, color fidelity and zero noise !

For these and others that he is respected and acclaimed even by professionals in the field of digital photography!

I say and I repeat 1020 is a 920 with 41 mp, while 808 is the True Pureview !

I think im starting to prefer the 1020's camera.

Im one for true imaging quality with no artificial interruption but the 1020 does seem to have the edge in many various occasions. Low light is one of them. Ive read the comparisons on AAS, but I think sometimes we need the extra help from algorithms or hardware such as OIS which clearly benefits the camera more than simple raw data.

I dunno, I could happily own both phones and love their cameras.

1020 is junk. A grainy, noisy, oversaturated junk.

And it's night photos are overexposed and looks unnatural.

Look at the pictures at 100% zoom. 1020 is terrible!
