Worked fine!! THX a lot! I donated £15,00
My PC Companion software made itself an update before it worked/let me get through to Version 2.00.142. ..was a bit afraid of it, cause i wont!!!
But all done and updated to X10i Generic NCB (R1FA016) and then to R1FB001
Now i would update my girlsfriends mobile. Is it possible, to update direct to R1FB001?
I will use the files i now have in the blob_fs folder. Are these the files i need? ..of the R1FB001 ..would this work?
..or should i go through X10i Generic NCB (R1FA016) and then to R1FB001?
..if so don't be shy to upload and link them..

Hey there. I was one of the unfortunate people to debrand my X10a to X10i. I have fortunately rebranded to the correct X10a but now in an attempt to debrand again (using correct fw of course ) I get an error when trying to use pc companion. Happens when it is trying to intall the update service after beginning the repair. Can you debrand using SEUS instead or does anyone have a suggestion as to why pc companion is acting this way?? |

..Yes..
when i debranded my contacts where still there and files and programs(not installed but the folders/tempfiles/and everything else) my music was still there, really didt lose anything apart from needing to reinstall all apps.
but you should count on that it gets deleted or else you will break my neck but that how it was for me

Ok, i debranded my phone & all went very well I updated R1FB001 at the end of process & was happy. Then after some time, i connected my phone to PC, PC Companion told me that a new firmware update is available. Guess, i got shock & was jumping in joy I updated my phone & WTF i had got R1FA016 again I thought, I connected phone to PC Companion again & got same msg, updated phone & it was again R1FA016. Finally i updated my phone with SEUS & got R1FB001, but My PC Companion keep giving me message that a new firmware is available |

Use Nordic R1FA016 and then update twice after replacing files. |

Using Win XP...
In this directory
C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs
The biggest file is 10kb. All options to show all files checked.
Has anyone done this task using Win XP?

Have you dl the update? the part that takes the longest during the repair sequence. first after that you can se the FW files in your temp folder.

X10 ROOTED!!!!
Via xda.
Morning Guys
ok i know you want pictures vids etc and that is fine, however i will point out that some of you will still doubt it even with photos.
i spoke to bin4ry via e-mail last night and i agree with him that we shouldnt release anything untill the x10 mini pro is out, this method should work with all x10 phones and we dont wanna jepordise rooting for the x10 mini pro.
i have recreated the method twice out of eight attempts, i have bricked 6 phones so far... so i still need to finetune this ok.
