My C702 is doing well with the paint as I put it in a pouch. but reboots and sudden death are really annoying... |

i am quite disappointed with the phone, i was really expecting it to be a lot more stable and sturdy, but i guess this is se first try withadventure type phones. features are great but i am planning to sell it to buy a different se phone instead. maybe c902 or g900i? |

I got a C702 yesterday. The first problem I had was the keyboard is a pain to use but everything else seems to work OK and it is a nice phone. I use SEUS to upgrade to R3CA037.
This morning I decided to connect to the PC and chose "Mass Storage" mode. It worked ok, I saw 2 drives and looked at the photos I had taken. I then disconnected the phone from the PC (properly) and it rebooted - not once but about 10 times - that was scary, thought I had bricked the phone!! Each reboot took about a minute.
I then downloaded SEPCSuite 3.2 and discovered that it crashes when resyncing Outlook (2000). It appeared to be able to resync contacts, but when I looked in the phone, they were all corrupt! I suspect this is not a C702 problem however.
Anybody else have problems similar to these?

Hi guys,
I am just about to get the black one with grey bits (rather than with orange bits) on Vodafone, but I really want the cyan blue one!! Assuming it is possible to take the housing off, any ideas where I could get a cyan one? Mine will be vodafone locked, so I assume I can't just swap with someone else.
Also, I have never had a Sony Ericsson phone before, but have been told it is nokia-user friendly, and this seems to have decent phone MP - my alternative choice is Nokia 6124 (only avail on Vodafone) - any opinions would be much appreciated!
Thanks |

Hey mate. I wouldn't go attempting to change the housing on this one, because it is supposed to be well sealed from water and dust, and removing the housing and putting it all back together may ruin the device's seals and could leave gaps for water or dust to get into the phone..
Maybe you can get a cyan blue coloured C702 from elsewhere?

I get the phone free through work, so not really an option... (and the line rental is free - bonus!) |

I see. I wouldn't personally change the housing, but if you really must have the C702 in cyan, then my only advice would be to be careful when fitting it all back together. I'd say it would probably be more difficult to assemble than most other phones too, due to it having the extra protection.

Thanks. Any ideas of how to get hold of replacement housing? My only guesses would be some dodge phone shop that does unlocking etc, or on ebay from the far east. |

Yeah I think most of the housings you can buy are cheap knock-offs from China, etc. And I think most aren't really the best quality either.
I have heard that SE themselves supply replacement parts, but I wouldn't know how you'd go about getting hold of them unfortunately.
Sorry I can't help you any further mate.

Its fine to change the housing on the c702 the waterproffing is just bits of rubber, just make sure it's a geniune housing and not a fake most fakes don't fit properly longs it's a geniune housing you will not effect it's waterproofing. |

There are all over animation (fade out, growing from middle, etc)so they look like slow but it isn’t. Do you think K800’s screen is small? Both are same so if you think K800’s screen is ok then C902’s screen also ok. It has photo light but doesn’t have xenon flash. |
