It can be useful as a guide light when you want to connect the fastport on the charger in a place where it's dark or poor light.

Very nice review! But i must say that it has not impressed me. The only thing that realy makes me want a P1i is more ram compared to previous uiq 3.0 phones. In banchmark i saw that P1 in one or two things gets outperformed by a M600 is that a joke or am i blind? I think that 650eur is too much for a phone like this, hope it is not correct though..

I would realy like to see how does P1 perform,.. i want to see multitasking in action. If it performs well and its price will be reasonable i will surely get one!

Don't stare at the benchmarks. They are far from accurate.

... especially when we're still talking about a pre-production unit!

benchmarking pre-production models is just pointless, in a prototype unit, every possible problems are encountered and even preventing the benchmarking software to run on the phone is possible. so why having a performance test if the phone software has not yet been finalized? this is just another degrading attempt against P1 imo.

No not the same size. The P1's screen is a little smaller.

To anyone who's played with this phone, do you know how the mp3 player works? I noticed there's no play/pause button, or rocker switch for volume like on my k800, just the jog dial work like this at all? I use the mp3 player on my k800 a lot, this could be a pain if the P1i won't work like that...
