Very strange problem you describing. It looks like the application installer is autostarted and tries to install Swiss Manager. No idea why it does so, we never seen anything similar. Only idea is to do master reset or even more radical cleanup.

I have noticed a strange thing with my P990 (using the SMP icon). Every time I start the phone up, and then start SMP, the icon shows no (at least very low) CPU usage when the phone is idle. However, after a while (a small amount of testing has made me believe it's time based rather than activity based), some CPU using process is started and the CPU bar is always visible (with at least one pixel of CPU bar + one pixel of border). It's not Tweak Peaks, and it wasn't there with the R3A (R7) firmware. It appeared in R4A (R9) and is still there in R4B (I have done a master reset and C: format and restored only settings, messages and multimedia). It doesn't seem to drain the battery, since the phone holds it power just as good as in R3A.

Does anybody else have this behavior, or does anyone know what the cause is?

AAAH!

I have the same problem with applications that want to install when starting the phone. Don't think it's SMs fault... more like a bug in P990. If anyone find something out I would love to hear it! I have looked everywhere for any installation-files on the phone or mem-card but cant find any.. Probably because they are hidden where you describe!

By the way... Where can I turn if I have lost my registration-code? All my old mails dissaperad when I upgraded and I was not smart enough to print the registration-mail. :/

Hi Lisa!
"look what's shown in the Information tab. Let us know what is the App file and the UID"

UID is 10000419
App file is QAppInst.exe
Path: Z:\\sys\\bin\\
Document: C:\\Private\\10000419
Etc.
I'm at my work now so I can't upload any AutoCam pics.

Booth the Z:sys and C:Private are folders that I can not do anything about, they're protected.
Any tips to get rid of it?

Feature Requests:
Tar, Untar, Zip, Unzip, Rar, Unrar functions for the file manager in smpro. I can't count the amount of times i have downloaded a file to the phone and had the necessity of having to unpack it. Who is with me on this?

Try your account in Handango or email the publisher's customer support.
better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

@joel:
If you bought SMP from cellphonesoft's website, try this link: https://store5.esellerate.net/store/support/

Sorry guys, during this week we have experienced quite a line-break with our internet provider, especially Email. Now we are back online, but please resend any important correspondence that you might have sent to us this week (otherwise lost forever).

You should turn to our support Email address, providing your registration data.

It is unlikely that compression support will be included in SMP's file manager in the future. We might later release a separate file manager program with advanced features (including compression), provided no comparable product is available in the market.
