well mine has now been updated, have yet to load data onto it, but does not seem that much faster to the previous verions, also have yet found a feature to turn the 'slick' menu animation off....

Just trying to do a back up, but it keeps failing with some files. Have opted to copy them off manually, but it's taking a while to figure out which ones are problematic!

Maybe this will help at least a little?

easy to see the problem with the link though, there is a strange character at the end and when removed you get this

I found a bug with the latest firmware that didn't exist previously. Can someone please confirm? When changing the Sounds And Alerts, you are supposed to be able to click the little music note icon next to the selected sound to hear what is chosen. This doesn't seem to work with this update, even though it did work previously.

EDIT: Nevermind; after a restart, all is fine!

@chriswg52

if you change the alarm sound from Deafult to one that is actually selected it does work, but with Default it does not probably because a defaut has not been defined (or definition has been lost)

Hi everybody (my first post at Esato)

I've loaded my P990 with the latest FW. My main problem is *not* fixed:

I took an (apparently) sucessful backup today, reloaded the previous FW (just before the latest came out now) and tried to do a restore.

Not a sucess: Restore fails on some issues in 3rd Party Applications ("Enhetsfeil" - Unit Error) and Configuration ("Elementet er låst" - Element is locked).

Seems like some applications are running during restore, thus blocking the restore? This a serious bug to me, since I have like 20-30 Internet configurations manually typed in ( I work for an operator and need them for my testing purposes).

Anyone familiar with this kind of problem? Work-arounds?

Help! Aaaarghh!

So what has anyone noticed about the new firmware? I can't tell a difference in anything. Every bug I noticed before is still present, except that Agile Messenger starts (but crashes when you try to do anything with it). I was hoping for something a little more noticeable...

My handset seems to be runnig a little bit more smoothly.

I was hoping for the 'transitions' option I had in my VF branded M600i to turn off the transitions between menu items.
