Yeah I can access the internal memory and the M2 Card I have in my phone as D and E when I plug the phone into the computer using the USB cable, I do have the drivers installed correctly I think, I might try downloading them again from SE and giving it another go, thanks. |

I have uninstalled the PC Suite from the PC restarted and then just installed the Install Me First Drivers from the latest PC Suite download and now the phone charges when I plug it in, so it must have been a driver install issue, thanks for the help. |

sorry if you've already answered this question but, can you use the USB at the moment to transfer to and from your memory card and phone memory? because if you can't do that yet then the USB won't charge ur phone.
All drivers must be installed before any charging occurs.
This is true because at work I plugged my phoine in but was not allowed to install the drivers. my phone did not charge....

NEGATIVE. I have a Mac and there are no drivers to install and I can charge my k800i. Sooooooooooooooo your driver theory is incorrect.

I assume that you are using a Windows based PC, while I am on a Mac. Two different types of OS's and hardware. You need drivers and I don't so what does that tell you? My phone charges without drivers on my Mac, while you need drivers, but my wife's PC does not have any drivers installed and it still charged. Soooo once again this is not a driver issue. It appears to be a hardware issue more than anything else.
Did that answer it for you?

No one to answer? Why is it that my k800i charges on a Mac with no drivers? Do I have a magical phone? Is my Mac magical? Or could it be that drivers do not tell the computer to charge but tell the USB port how to communicate with the phone? Wait, wait, this must be the answer. Well at least to the SonyEricsson Tech rep here in sunny Kuwait.
Where is your answer Danny CT? Explain that.
By the way, the guy that is having the charging problem, SE here said that you might have a defective phone. He said to do a master reset (back up data first) and then see if this will do it. If not, then you might have a problem with the charging unit within the phone. Should be under warranty to have repaired.

My K750 charges OK from the USB port on my laptop. My K800 does not using the same port, cable, driver etc.

What kind of computer are you using? This seems to be a hardware issue more than a software issue. Does your computer recognize both drives, i.e. the phone and the M2 (if you have one)?

When do you think there will be a new firmware version for O2 which seems to use the first release firmware? |

@dibberly: Have you tried taking the battery and sim card out then putting it all back together again? I only say this as today my phone wouldn't recieve calls, but was OK with everything else. So I took the sim card out to try it in another phone(which worked fine) then when I put it back in everything worked. Think it might be some sort of bug or just my network(02), messing around. Who knows.
But try going to where you debranded the phone, they should be able to put voda branded firmware back on. |
