are my eyes decieving me or is it the phone ...i mean the colour display is vividly greyish,blakish and whitish -does the p990 properly display all the right colours from pictures of the screen display ive seen so far im having my doubts |

I definately want this phone, I simply love the look and all the features. Is is now said that i has an improved t9, that will be better with the qwerty.
I like the OS, and having tried other phones (and PDA's) I found out that with the windows OS the device is always more a computer than a phone, and with the Pxxx it is a phone first and foremost. When I had the PDA's it would always sometimes freeze and I would loose calls and messages. This doesn't happen with the Pxxx.
Appreciate the radio, and the wlan, the only thing I am begging for is the 3.5mm headphone plug or even better yet, a 2.5 mm. plug, as in the Nokia N91.
They even say that the P990 will be relatively cheap, as SE wants to be able to compete with other companys.
I also would prefer that the P990 would be released now, and then I can easier wait for the applicationprograms. I look so much forward to this "Toy". |

p990 does not have 3,5 mm or 2,5 mm jack .
I think it is because SE wants us to buy their stereo headsets.
Or BT ones

I think they should announce stereo BT headsets soon. |

Does it have EDGE ? And why so a slow processor ? SE proudly announced they are the first to bring the new symbian 9.1 to the market. Now let's see if they'll keep their promiss.If they duplicate the first P-series release time,then they may be last (or first from the bottom) And why only the old wifi standard in a 'flagship' model ? You chaps also realize - there isn't any software for it :-(

I think the phone looks great, with some good specs, but im not sure about that key board, ive had the P800, and just got the P910i recently. there is not enough screen, minimizing the visual spectrum.
any other thoughts? |

Like Big Feet I am looking forward to using a Smartphone that works as a phone first and PDA second i.e the P990. Having used a NOK 9500 and Treo and JasJar I do miss my old P910 and reliability.

I know that a lot of people with Apple Airport Express (802.11b and g compatible) find that the range is better (and the signal more reliable) using b rather than g.

Do we know what resolution the video recording function will support? Hopyfully it will be better than the P900/910 and K750. |

I am sure going to buy a SE P990.
Currently using i-mate K-JAM, and also missing my 910i. I have also owned K750i ( lovin it ), P900, i-mate JAM, V3 ,... .
ANybody , any news of sooner availibilty of February 2006 ?

@_LAU_ Huh buddy,am I missing something or what ? SE smartphone manufacturer of the year ? ? ? I presume they don't mention the smartphone's name.Hmm . . . I wonder why ?
