hmm... sorry, i did not tried connecting to pc last night... it was 4:30 am when i updated. today after reading the posts i connected... and magic! i had W800!...... lol SE is a joke!!

ok, i tried again. but guess what! i had to install the W800 drivers to start update

and even this time the progress bar got stuck at 46%. but it continued after few minutes. then it went from 56% to 100% directly!! i checked the log. it had one error...
01.16.46:234 38 Error Didn't get ack for reset of loader (by) homeflash.msconnector.nb
but till now i am not having any problem...

finally, my comp aggreed its a k750
even the content version is PA19 now.

one thing about reception... it does show better signal (even with the w800 update). earlier at my office desk, signal used to be 0-1-2. after update it varies from 1 to 5! normally, i get 2-3 sms daily from my provider saying you missed these many calls... today i did not got any such sms. but one of my friend had to try thrice to call me. that may be by chance... but i still doubt about reception.

the video recorded was really much improved. may not be like N6630 but, less crispy than earlier. i'll compare it tommorrow.

the camera is now 3 good! i tested it in low light and had better results than earlier, in night mode.

one thing i just wanted to mention... actually i started updating on 20th sep. i downloaded the update service driver and software. but, i came across this topic and i could not dare to proceed! last night i just gave it a shot... thats luck
anyway, i think now SEUS is not killing the phones atleast...

i think SE should try to ease this process....

EDIT: the camera, memory card (original 64mb) is working as usual
the only difference i noticed was, camera was showing a reddish screen while switching... from pic to vid, view to cam, while starting cam, etc.

I tried to update one more time & this time it went successful. Till now I'm not experiencing any problem or bugs in the new firmware rather it has become swifter than before. portrait photography is much improved now. Atlast got relief from the stress of having no camera.
True love is a rare find so don't let it go once you get it by luck.

succesfully performed the update to r1n035 today without a problem. my heart skipped a beat when it jumped from 42% to 100% during the flashing process but there were no ill effects and everything is as it should be. now im going to go and play with all the improved features!

1 strange problem, the phone would not turn on at first although it eventually did after a few attempts

Updated 3 K750i's yesterday.
Jumped from 42% to 100% too, but the phones are A-OK!
I think it's safe to use SEUS now.

@b3rx
Have you tried recovery mode? [addsig]

I've find my files. Guys, when u wnat to transfer mp3 into your memory stick, DON'T put it into the Mp3 folder! Instead, go to the folder where you'll have your audio, theme, etc and just place your mp3 there. Going back to your phone after disconnecting the USB cable, you'll find your mp3 in the Sounds folder of your phone and the media player of your K750i will also able to locate it. Let me know if you need any help or require the exact directory to the place to put your mp3. Hope this helps your R1N035. (took me many hours of exploring the phone and experimenting to find this)

ok, this is the exact directory:
E:\MSSEMC\Media files\audio

where E:\ is your removable disk ie your memory stick.

Just place your mp3 here and that will do.

Hope this help!

When I try SEUS it says "there is no service available for your operator". Does this mean I have to wait some more?

I have the R1N005 software (the test firmware), and I am affraid it won't be possible to upgrade the firmware as my versionwas never released officially. I just got my phone like that from the shop.

When I try Recovery Mode with SEUS it says "error communicating with device".

Even at the SE Service Point they could not figure it out. Anybody a suggestion?

For me, I think so far, this is the best software with the upgrade of the camera and no downgrade of anything. So far no bugs except maybe the change of directory to place mp3 files for the memory stick.
