I'm in Beijing and return to the UK in about 5 weeks. Do you want me to see if I can pick you one up? Can save you a few pounds on postage.. if I see one I'll check it out for you first, if you have anything you want to know about it.
Just so you know, the website that video links to is Vietnamese not Chinese and they look legit-ish, selling arc at around 450GBP..
I bought a Real one for £419 in the UK. The idea is to get a fake one for GF so it wont hurt as much if she breaks it. Should cost no more than £200 i would guess. |

More Arc accessories appears.. now extended batteries !!
regular standard size but with 1700mAh ( rather than original 1500 mAh )

large size and huge capacity 4500 mAh ( require included back cover to fit the larger battery )

Very nice, even thought I'll a large battery with a size that can require flat back cover... this will make the phone more elegant and provide longer battery life than standard one which is somehow limited by the arc design of the phone... I can guess a 2000-2100mAh capacity with such design...

the 4500mAh looked awesome (not for standard use) but when your on the train/traveling and cant charge the phone.
but 130usd is kinda expensive to get an ugglier phone
and 1700mAh can't be that much of a difference? anyone know from other phones

Yeah, but some may see the 4500mAh too big even for such traveling and they may go for external portable charger so they can charge the phone any where when required.. unless they hate to hold another thing...
the 1700mAh provides 13% more power than stock 1500mAh, so if the phone lasts 1.5 - 2 days then you might get extra 4 - 4:15 hours in theory... looks nice as there's no change in size ( I don't know about weight )...
yeah, price is kinda expensive for the 4500 but it's okay for the 1700 as it cost almost same as stock 1500mAh...
some will say 1500 (stock)*3 = 4500, so 47 (stock from one search)*3 = 141 still higher than 130 for 4500

The Arc screen beats the hell out of the sensation in that video´
but about the battery, 3 separate 1500mAh batterys must out preform in time a single 4500mAh battery?
i get 1 18-20 with moderate use so 3 times 18-20 is 54-60h (but with alot of hassle to charge them separatly)

I recently bought one of these batteries which was a Mugen power one. My HTC Wildfire S it was for and the new battery was 1,500mAh whereas the phones original battery was 1,230mAh. Yet the higher capacity non branded battery was worse it had really short life. Don't get tempted by these batteries they are crap. Get a genuine one.

As SKIBBE pointed out, the Arc's screen really impresses compared to the Sensation. Good to know.

Yeah, despite the huge screen res HTC seem to have ruined the contrast colours & brightness. My HTC Wildfire S has a better screen than that

It looks pretty neat. Wondering what that compartment is for? Perhaps a battery compartment (say running of AA batteries) for when you're not connected to the mains? Or a secondary battery charger?
