Samsung and LG aren't that bad. They are trying to be innovative and they are doing a pretty good job at it. The problem is we didn't see much from SE in the past years. Maybe that will change soon (I hope so).
About Samung and LG tossing one touch phone after another on the market, well touch phones are the new trend so every company who doesn't have an updated line up of touch phones until now is at disadvantage. Just take a look at Nokia. They realised it too and brought out the 5800 which is actually a mediocre touchscreen phone (feature wise of course) but still is selling like hot cake.
Fact is Samsung and LG are heading into the right direction while SE isn't. It hurts to admit it as a SE fan but it is the truth. Even if you are a fanboy you have to admit that the korean companies are making phones with features that you guys have been wishing SE phones to have for a while now. |

I would prefer to have a VGA video that would not lag, rather than have video on 720p with lag.

Haha, but I mean it really. I think the IDOU comes to late and Hikaru is nothing special.

Videos from Idou are fantastic. Excellent quality and sound. Why would you need more than VGA from a mobile phone?

Why would anyone need more than 8mp in a mobile phone?
As you most probably know it's all about gimmicks.
If you pay a premium for a device than you expect it to have the best technology available in the market. At the moment it is 12mp, 720p video recording and OLED screens. |

At Mobile World Congress in February 2009, Sony Ericsson announced a new consumer proposition, called ‘Entertainment Unlimited’ (EU), to build on Sony Ericsson’s leadership in music, imaging, gaming, content services, and applications to deliver unlimited opportunities for consumers. The company also announced the first Entertainment Unlimited phone with the concept name ‘Idou’ to be launched in the second half of 2009. The next EU announcement will take place on 28 May.

There are some nice things up to say in the business update. Focus on high end open OS entertainment devices...
(and they put a pic of the W902 where the W705 should be. ) |

Why so? A spec sheet of such a cool phone is always good news. Also that means the unveiling of the entertainment united abbreviation!
Also a new EU(for now I name it like that) to be announced in may? Sweet. |

hmmm... I guess. I was just thinking if the spec sheet had a lot of things we don't want, it will be a disapointment
