if ur sz-model comes with a built-in DVD/CD Burner then u can make it simply by inserting a blank CD/DVD-R (or RW) in the ROM and then running the wizard. (or when u run the wizard it'll ask u what kind of recovery u're interested in and on what kind of media u want to backit up.)
p.s. why dont u make a image or ghost with Acronis True Image Enterprise (or Home) or the like? It'll rather better. anyhow.

@sloja there is no option in nokia fones only low end fones like 1110 1200 have this,

or u can say all of the color screen nokia fones excluding symbians dont have that option to show call duration during the call,

but there is way to see the duration, during the call press menu then go to log and then call duration, u can go there by selecting shortcuts or numbering keys like if log is the 3rd icon in the menu then press menu then quiclky press 3 then 7 and u will be there.

@GE sorry not know about waht u r asking,

@solja
oh sorry.. u were asking abt elapsed time during call. (as in the se phones).
u can only turn on "show call summary" under call setting menu.

@shuak
no. who says in the low-end nokia fones only?
there're many nokia mid-end java-based phones now that show call-elapsed time during the call. (newer models)

I am not asking for “file’s back-up” however my vaio has Dvd-rw(double layered)+Cd-rw but me usually use mmc cards(2Gb) since it reads mmc cards as well but I am asking about “window’s recovery disk” Every new laptop comes with its Recovery disk (windows including manufacturer company’s supported preinstalled softwares package)like ma have one with my Compaq… But Sony’s lappies don’t come with its Recovery Disk at least not these three models we having at home, 2 was imported from japan (sealed), mine one was (sealed) bought from Hafeez. And not even a single of them had Recovery Disk but all having option of making manually these Disks.
I just want to make one in case if something happens to my window then I would be able to reinstall it into manufacturer’s genuine status including sony’s original softwares like sonic stage,Vaio centeral etc etc.

One more thing… may be It would sound stupid… but there is another thing I am having in my mind… its model no: VGN:SZ240P (if you guy remember I had posted pics too) well, its Hard disk is of 120Gb but accessible space is 105GB where is 15Gb? I was thinking may be these 15Gb is dedicated only for its windows? I mean if something happenes to window it will recover/reinstall it with out needing a Window’s CD/DvD?

p.s. Shuak bahi mere mobile ki USB ko kuch hogia hai… who aap ne isdin bataya na tou mein ne pin per thura pani daal ker dekha *embarrass* ab ko kaam nahi ker raha..mobile Pc suit ko active kerta hai per foran khatam … per wire cheroot tou per read kerta hai per khatam… ab kai keroon mein? Blue tooth se kaam chala rahi hon per its slow. Music file download kerna ho tou itni deer lagti hai blue tooth se.

@greeny: the part of your hard disk that you cannot access (15GB) does indeed contain the recovery files for your vaio. this was taken from wikipedia:

"In mid-2005, all models stopped shipping with a Recovery CD, but a instead feature a hidden partition on the hard drive, accessible at boot via the BIOS or also within Windows via a utility. The partition allows the user to either reimage his hard drive to factory state, or to create recovery media."

This is how you actually create the discs:
(This process was taken directly from the Sony Support Website)

How to create the Recovery Media Kit.

There are no System Recovery CDs (SRCDs) included with the computer. The recovery data required to return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition is included on a special partition of the hard drive. Follow this procedure to create the Recovery Media Kit (a set of Recovery Discs), which can be used to restore the recovery partition and return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition.

IMPORTANT:

* Rewritable media can be used to create the Recovery Discs, but are not recommended.
* Not all computers have the capability to write to DVD media. Consult the specifications for the computer for additional information.
* Do not interrupt the power during the recovery process.

NOTE:The Recovery Media Kit is not a backup utility. Personal data and software installed after purchase, or since the last system recovery, is not saved by the Recovery Media Kit.

1. Ensure all open programs are closed.
2. Ensure all network connections are disconnected.
3. Ensure all peripheral devices are disconnected.

NOTE: If the computer uses an external CD/DVD drive, ensure the drive is plugged in according to the instructions in the VAIO User Guide.
4. From within the VAIO Recovery Wizard application, in the Create Recovery Discs window, click Next.

NOTE: The Create Recovery Discs window can be reached through the VAIO Recovery Wizard main menu or by selecting the Create Recovery Discs option on the Start Menu.
5. Under Create Recovery Discs (Step 1 of 3), click to select the option to use either DVD or CD media.

NOTE: The type of media that can be used and the number of discs required may vary depending on the type of disc drives present and the specific model used. Details are provided in the VAIO Recovery window.
6. Click the Next button.
7. At the Insert a blank... dialog box, insert the appropriate disc.

NOTE: The appropriate drive will open to receive the disc.
8. Click the OK button.

NOTE: If a This disc is not empty dialog box is displayed, click the OK button.
9. Insert a new disc when necessary as instructed.
10. When all the disks have been created, click the Finish button.

NOTE: After the Recovery Media Kit has been created the first time, any disc can be created again by selecting the disc from the list and clicking Next.

You'll be needing a couple of new discs for this so i would suggest you to get a CD/DVD bundle according to what your recovery wizard says you need. Hope this helps
