A nice small reliable phone in your pocket and a tablet on the sofa. Would make a perfect combination.

That Txt Pro looks like a nice phone. As long as it has a 5MP Autofocus camera, 3G for the USA, VGA+ 30FPS video recording, and a great UI, it should do well and could be a nice replacement for my Nokia C6.

One of the logos bouncing around on there is PlayNow Do SE China still use PlayNow? It looks to me like it'll be a small touchscreen phone with the Chinese carrier heavily modified android variant for China only or a fake countdown like the last one was found to be.

Cos despite what you may think not EVERYONE wants a complicated Android phone. Not everyone NEEDS an Android phone. There are still such people who just want a phone & does not need a smartphone.

They probably won't because they're contracted to Qualcomm for their chips. I suppose when that deal with Qualcomm comes to an end they can look at Intel, Nvidia or ST-Ericsson, but they've stated that's the reason arc, play and co didn't get Nvidia chips.

I have a SE ARC and LG Optimus 2x and I must say the LG is not that much faster or snappier than ARC, so people asking for dual or even quad core for mobile, drop it!
SE is going to use Dual-core in a upcoming phone in the end of this year!

If they going to use Qualcomm Dual Core Krait and release it in Q1 2012 it would be somehow okay but I doubt if they will keep up compete in top tier market with those Qualcomm chipset, because they always follow HTC in this department.
My voted for should go for NovaThor 9600 which is feature of latest of PowerVR series codename "Rogue", definitely wipe out in top floor
U8500 feature with ARM Mali 400 is still very capable and good choice.

From Eldar's weekly Spillikins:
Bert Nordberg the Sony Ericsson CEO is going to visit Russia on his farewell tour – by the end of the year he will initiate a wave of layoffs in the company and then leave. The formal reason for that is the Q2 2011 losses as well as the coming losses of the second half of the year. While the Q2 losses are apparent the second half results are heuristic and are obvious from the fact that the company's products are not very popular. Sony Ericsson Play failed on all markets and Arc sales are very low and the company can do nothing about it.
