I think Anzu will not be that a huge success. The specs are not really that special and more fit for a 2010 high-end phone; it is more like what X10 should have been. SE needs a phone like what avmax has said. The dual-core powered smartphones are the ones that will dominate the market, that's for sure.
Is Anzu really the device that avmax is talking about? Was not there a rumour about an X10 refresh that would be release to the market at earlier time? Then, there's another very-high spec'ed phone that would come later next year.
About the the mid-end best seller, the reason why that LG android phone sells well is that there is not any other offering from LG. You know that LG is big in Korea. But then again, expect more companies to make Android powered smartphones making it hard for a single of them to dominate the Android segment.
With the iPhone 4, its success should be an inspiration to other manufacturers. It embodies what a complete premium device is. It does not promises to replace your camera or computer or become an internet hub. It is what it is. How can I tell? I have one and I am proud to say that it is the best phone at the moment. I have tried other Android phones such as SGS, X10, HTC Desire and Motorola Droid. But none of them are as good as the iPhone 4 especially in the multi-touch aspect. Plus, I can't help but notice how pixelated screen of those phones. Well I guess I have just gotten used to the retina display. And I must say that it is much safer to buy applications on Appstore knowing that it has been reviewed by Apple before the start of distribution. Yeah SGS may have better hardware but are there any apps that take advantage of it. I have tried playing the Need for Speed on SGS but the graphics is not as good as on iPhone 4. To sum it up, iPhone 4 is best overall smartphones in the market now. |

ANZU SPECS are good.. If sony ericsson launch's this phone by december and price it cheaper then this will sell well ..€650 is very expensive..
A true X10 successor/Dual core phone will mostly be announced at the "MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS" 2011..
Like when Satio and X1 was announced? |

I think it is quite obvious that the Anzu character is a refresh of the X10 not a next generation successor, as I said before. No massive upgrade. Not really 2011 specs. It sounds pretty much idential to the Desire HD which the USA has had in some form from not long after the X10 hit the world. If I hadn't boght my X10 in April and this was out before Christmas I may consider it but I think for current X10 owners (myself being one) it shouldn't really be an avenue to explore, but rather wait for a few extra months and see what next gen devices hasn't leaked yet.
I still have faith that avmax isn't a complete liar but rather speaking of a device not on the list lollylost knows of or among the devices eldar saw. I firmly believe Bert has made sure the 'crap' devices for next year are leaked so we are surprised when we see the big boy(s) pop-up, possibly later.
I'm sure no-one here believes would not even try to keep up with competition next year. That would be business suicide. I'm not saying that solely killer handsets will make them the number 1 android manufacturer, of course portfolio diversity matters too, but to completely neglect the breaking tech end and flood the mid range and low end is what led to the dark years of late 2008 and 2009.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Hmmmm
@Lollylost
Seems your specs don't completely match with what Eldar mentioned ?
12mp cam as against 8mp u mentioned
LCD screen as against X LED
800mhz CPU against 1 ghz
Oh and in these pics its clear the screen is NOT LED thanks to the greyish blacks.

So sad indeed.. It would have been better if anzu was a phone to compete with the likes of Lg optimus One.
With this lame strategy, SE will never be the top android manufacturer. |

Eldar too seems to agree that anzu is more a middle range phone than top end
"device that could easily have been a decent middle range solution (much like Desire Z is for HTC) is thrown into the market to be eaten at the top end and take down the company with it. |

I really dont think that SE are this dumb. Remeber the X1, it came into light only seconds before the announcement. A company whose flagships have more or less trumped or been at par with other flagships, i dont think would cater this way.
The Satio, the X10 all had cutting edge hardware and were a force to deal with. |

Am also thinking along these lines... maybe they would not have announced x10 so early if it hadnt leaked. maybe they do have something to announce at MWC which is planned for 2nd half 2011... Agree a lot of maybes, am holding on to a very thin straw but you never know |

considering Anzu as a mid range phone , is a good sign for being a high-end phone under construction \\...
Q: is Anzu's cpu the same as Desire z ones? |
