HMD is small company. There is no Nokia there.
Should not expect anything. According to the 1st leak, that phone would be multiple FLs, not same set up.

And don't forget the aube, which would make the biggest difference. People seem to underestimate that chip, if they can make it work for more than 2 cams or expand its purpose, it could be the camera phone to beat for years.
A quad Bayer sensor with a mono should already offer better hdr on the hw level. Aube could also be used for ais, zoom and super high sensitivity 4K video etc. |

Griffin, Horus and Sphinx all have SD855. Griffin is 4G.

I doubt they will use QB sensor.
They kinda "made fun " of it this year.
The main problem is the fact this 48MP 1/2" has only one advantage over 12MP 1/2" ( this one none has ever made so far) , the digital zoom. Detail levels would be same.
AUBE needs same focal length.
They would need to put one mono sensor for each RGB.
When Max J posted first concept, I thought it had wide + mono, uwa + mono and tele + mono.
This would be a killer combo because UWA and tele have issues at night due to inferior hardware on any phone.
But according to him it has 16mm, 52mm, 135mm and ToF.
Considering fact the other two are same 26mm f1.2/f2.4 , I suspect it is rgb + mono.
1/2" is just about 10% larger than previous 1/2.3".
They see the difference a larger one has made in favor of Huawei.
1/2" is not worth .

Tried the Xperia Ace....hope it never leaves Japan. It is so weak in its performance that even the Xperia XZ will whoop its ass in everyday tasks. |

SD630 has similar performance of 810.
No surprise is not on pair with XZ.
Except design and sided FPS, Ace has no advantage over XZ2c.
I am confused. Still 5 Xperia to show up this year? |

ETA of next xperia flagship seems to be 4-6 weeks earlier than usual but OS won't be Android Q but P.

According to androplus, there are two Xperia with SD855 to come.
Two of them are 5G ( Sphinx and Horus) ...
Uaprof says J80xx is 4K and J82xx is Full HD.
Now I am confused because Buks said that there is a QHD screen.
Is Griffin the X1? I thought its codename was Kumano.

If there's another 4k phone it's definitely not the 6" one. I doubt even 2k since ppi would still be higher than 600.
The 5g version of the 1 would have 4k though. If there's a size difference I'd expect it to be bigger. 7" 4k without bezels maybe? |

Xperia 1 has near 2 million pixels less than previous Premium.
So I believe they may use cropped ratio again, instead of 1440x 3360.
I'd guess 2560x 1097 ... PPi wont be as high as X1.
LG is selling well W10 in India.
I dont know the price, but specs are almost same of L3.
HD, Helio P22, 32Gb/3Gb, 13 MP + 5MP / 8MP
But W10 has only micro usb and BT4.2.
W10 has advantage of android 9 and 4000 mAh.

makes 2880x1234 but I don't know if this res could be accepted as QHD. I don't think 1097p would cut it, they would have called the 10 series 2K then.
W10 looks the part. L3, while not ugly is not as up to date. Notch and chin is the worst imo but people want it. MTK is not trustworthy. Sony's biggest problem in the lower segments is their choice of chipsets. Too high prices for weaker chips. Nobody gives a damn about GG5 or 3, the X20 seems promising but in Sony fashion, they enlarged the bezels instead of shrinking it. It has no IP rating, make it a pop up selfie and call it a day, but no. Sony should do what they did in the premium segment: up their game. |

Since Sphinx has different name/code , sounds to me another device instead of a 5G version of 1.
