Of course it did, at least tmobile and play don't know what about plus and orange. I myself got the update last week on Wednesday and I'm running tmobile branded rom. From what I know generic firmware for our region wasn't updated.

I get this too, but only with the newest Skype running. The screen will go dead and black for a second or two at a time. Really frustrating.

On the upside, I found a mod for hiding the ugly pane outlines on the lockscreen when waking up, I managed to find a port of the stock android camera with photosphere and I got the volume rocker shutter release mod to work (great for underwater shots).

I can confirm Android 4.2 is not out yet in India on PC companion.

Indiandawg, did you purchase your XZ from India? It might be from different region. I have updated my XZ to JB 4.2.2 Firmware 10.3.A.0.423. I used PC Companion.

Ok, that changes everything

That's strange that branded firmwares are getting updated before generic ones, till now it was always the other way around.

EDIT:
Generic CE1 was just released so you can go ahead and update your XZ
